Along with appearing on the ABC soap, he’s back to filming a new movie that involved a career first for Mathison — the first time he’s had two Christmas movies in one year. First Look at Cameron Mathison’s Second Christmas Movie of 2026
Mathison, who was a staple on Hallmark Channel until moving to Great American Family in 2023, hasn’t given any details on his newest Christmas film, like the name or who he is working with, other than that it will come out this holiday season. However, Mathison did give fans a fun tease of his first day on set.
In an Instagram post, Mathison shared a carousel of photos, including a couple of trailer selfies. The Hallmark alum posed in front of a Christmas-decorated house and in a couple of photos with the production team, bringing the film to life.
There was even a video of how the snow was being made to create the winter wonderland holiday feel. Mathison didn’t say much in his caption other than it was the first day of filming, and fans can expect more behind-the-scenes moments from him.
