Ever since football and non-football fans alike fell in love with Donna Kelce, she’s been busier than ever. She made her acting debut with not one but two Hallmark films in 2024: “Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story” and “Christmas on Call.” She was awarded 2024’s Glamour’s Woman of the Year Award alongside Tina Knowles, Mandy Teefy, and Maggie Baird. But most recently, she filmed the upcoming season of the uber-popular show, “The Traitors.”
We’ve already been told numerous times that Taylor Swift’s future mother-in-law is a sweetheart. Now, her castmate, Candiace Dillard Bassett, is confirming that all the rumours are true.
Dillard Bassett Raves About Jason & Travis Kelce’s ‘Cool’ Mom
At this year’s “VRT” Awards, Dillard Bassett had a few things to say when Page Six asked her what Kelce was like as the two filmed Season 4 of “The Traitors” together.
“Donna is America’s mom [and] she was also our castle mom,” she said.
She described Jason and Travis Kelce’s mom as a “gem” and talked about how the whole cast “loved her.”
“Donna is really … cool. Look at her sons,” Dillard Bassett continued. “She got these amazing, successful swaggy sons. She’s just like a cucumber — chillin, but I would talk to her … [and] she would go into shows she was watching.”
Apparently, Kelce is a pretty big reality TV fan, and they spent a lot of time bonding over their favorite shows. But there are a couple of things that Dillard Bassett teased that she’s still waiting for Kelce to deliver.
“I’m still waiting for her to bake me some cookies, and she owes me some [Kansas City] Chiefs tickets,” the “Real Housewives of Potomac” alum joked. “She’s really hard to get in touch with.”
Donna Kelce’s Heartwarming Impact Behind the Scenes of ‘Holiday Touchdown’
If Donna Kelce chooses to take on more scripted or non-scripted roles, her reputation as one of the nicest and easiest people to work with will definitely help. Her “Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story” co-stars also only had good things to say about Mama Kelce.
“She’s just full of love and she’s got great taste in candy. I turned her on to a Nerd gummy cluster, which she loved,” Hunter King told the New York Post. “Everyone adored her. Everyone just couldn’t wait ’til she showed up … The energy was always pretty up … but then when Donna was on set, everyone was just really, really excited.”
“There’s nothing we could teach her,” Tyler Hynes added. “She’s teaching me how to act. She was crazy good.”
