Former “Boy Meets World” star and current “Dancing with the Stars” competitor Danielle Fishel has plenty on her plate these days. Not only is she still competing for the Mirrorball Trophy with her DWTS run, but she also has two podcasts and a hair care line, among other things. She recently was asked if she might eventually join the Hallmark family, and her response was a promising one.
Danielle Fishel Nearly Signed Onto a Previous Hallmark Project
Fishel chatted with Soaps.com about her journey with “Dancing with the Stars” and her vision regarding what may come next.
She previously shared that she was pursued by “Dancing with the Stars” for a while before agreeing to compete. It turns out, the possibility of joining the Hallmark family has taken a similar path.
Fishel told Soaps.com, “Hallmark has also been on that list of things, kind of like ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ where we have always circled each other over the years.”
She explained, “They have asked me to do movies in the past, and again, the timing has just never been right.”
According to what Fishel shared, she came quite close to doing a Hallmark project at one point. She did not reveal which project it was, but Fishel revealed she “got the script” and “loved it.”
Fishel Is Now Manifesting That a Hallmark Project Comes That’s a Fit
Unfortunately, Fishel shared, “It was just one of those things that was like, ‘Yes, I want to do this, but I cannot do it right now.”
She hasn’t dropped the idea entirely, though. Fishel said she is “hoping that a Hallmark movie is in my very near future.” She’s making it clear she is interested, as she added, “Manifest, manifest.”
Her first major role was in “Boy Meets World,” where she played Topanga Matthews for 145 episodes. She continued to act somewhat regularly in the years after that show ended. However, it wasn’t until the “Boy Meets World” reboot, titled “Girl Meets World,” debuted in 2014 that she was a television regular again.
Fishel is still actively competing on season 34 of “Dancing with the Stars.” She and her partner, Pasha Pashkov, have made it nearly to the middle of the season.
It would appear that Fishel may be available whenever Hallmark is again ready for her. Her IMDb page currently shows no acting projects in the works. She sounds eager to join the Hallmark family, and fans will likely be thrilled to see it happen.
