Four years after Hallmark Channel canceled its hit series “Good Witch” after seven seasons, stars Catherine Bell and James Denton are making magic again. The duo has made multiple joint appearances together in recent weeks, after Bell revealed big steps have been taken toward a “Good Witch” reunion or reboot.
On January 9, 2026, Bell, 57, and Denton, 62, dazzled on the red carpet at the Astra Film Awards before appearing the following day at a nearby fan convention, where Bell also reconnected with her first “Good Witch” husband, Chris Potter. Could a “Good Witch” reboot announcement be in the near future?

Getty“Good Witch” began in 2008 as a movie franchise that later inspired the Hallmark Channel series, which aired for seven seasons, from 2015 to 2021. The 12 movies and popular series chronicled the everyday adventures of Cassie Nightingale, played by Bell, a highly-intuitive mom who moved to a small town with her equally intuitive daughter, played by Bailee Madison, who left the series after the fifth season. Denton played Cassie’s second husband, Jake, in the series.
Bell and Denton last co-starred in 2024’s “Happy Holidays From Cherry Lane” and they looked amazing together while attending the Astra Film Awards, where they presented Adam Sandler with the Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture Comedy or Musical Award for his role in Netflix’s “Jay Kelly.”
The next day, on January 10, they appeared together again to sign autographs and pose for photos at The Hollywood Show, a fan convention held in Los Angeles. Appearing with them was longtime “Heartland” star Chris Potter, who played Cassie’s first husband, Jake, in many of the 12 “Good Witch” movies, which aired on Hallmark starting in 2008.
Fans were thrilled when Bell posted a photo with Potter at the convention, which she captioned, “Look who I found! Chris Potter!!! Been way too long! Catching up about kids (Gemma was 2 or 3 when we did the first Good Witch movie!) wow! So great to see him and his wife and catch up! 🥰🥰🥰”
Catherine Bell Says She’s Already Had Meetings About a ‘Good Witch’ Reboot
HallmarkBell’s appearances with her “Good Witch” hubbies come weeks after the actress, who also served as an executive producer of the franchise, confirmed in November 2025 that she’s been pushing hard for a Hallmark reboot or reunion.
During a panel at Motor City Comic Con, according to ScreenRant, she told the audience that she continually receives questions from fans about whether “Good Witch” might return.
“Unofficially, I’ve been telling people at my table that yes, there are finally some plans for another movie or two,” she told the audience, per ScreenRant. “It’s very exciting, we were trying for it — the show ended four years ago, and all of us, James Denton, and Catherine Disher, were all like, ‘Guys, we’ve gotta do another movie.’ All our fans are like, ‘Why are you guys not doing more movies?'”

GettyBell pointed to multiple changes in leadership at Hallmark Channel as the reason why talks stalled about a possible “Good Witch” reunion. Former CEO Bill Abbott left in 2020 and was replaced by Wonya Lucas. She oversaw programming until 2023, when she left the network and EVP of Programming Lisa Hamilton Daly took over. Daly was later laid off in January 2025, and six months later, Hallmark announced that beloved former executive Michelle Vicary, who left the company in 2021, was returning to head up programming.
ScreenRant reported that at Music City Comic Con, Bell explained the delay in concrete news about a “Good Witch” reunion by telling the audience, “They had new executives running the network, and they wanted to do different things, which happens. So, they just brought back Michelle Vicary, who ran the network for 22 years, and we met up as soon as she was back.”
When Bell was asked if that meant “Good Witch” will officially be returning, ScreenRant said that the actress replied, “Well, they haven’t written the script, but it has been requested, and it is in the works.”
Hope it comes back, most of the Actors are still doing movies on Hallmark so it wouldn’t be hard to put a cast together
I would love to see Good Witch to come back. It’s such a a family oriented show. The people got along so well.

Ugh this was one hallmark show I never had any desire to watch. I did try watching it but just didn’t enjoy it.
I wasn’t into the show at first but that is because I had not seen the movies, I then started watching it and really liked the show. I was one of the fans who was really upset when they took it off while its ratings were high.
I love ‘Good Witch’. Such a great show with good stories, family values and love. I am a Sr. Citizen that spends a great amount of time reading, doing crossword puzzles and watching TV. Also, James Denton isn’t so bad on the eyes.
Please bring Good Witch back!
