Hallmark star Holly Robinson Peete, 61, took to Instagram on Thursday, August 13, to share a nostalgic look into her pregnancy with twins Rodney Jr. and Ryan, 28.
Holly, who married husband and former NFL player Rodney Peete, 60, in 1995, welcomed her twins — a boy and a girl — in October 1997.
“I had no idea how much joy, chaos, love and adventure were headed my way,” the “Christmas in Evergreen” actress captioned her post, adding that she’d “do it all over again.”

After giving birth to her twins, Holly and her husband, Rodney, went on to welcome two more sons, Robbie, 23, and Roman, 21.
In a previous interview with PEOPLE, the Hallmark star opened up about Rodney Jr. and Ryan’s dynamic as brother and sister. The “Celebrity Apprentice” contestant noted that because Rodney Jr. was non-verbal as a child during the beginning stage of his autism, it took time for him and Ryan to find a way to connect.
“The twins get along well. She’s an advocate for him in terms of the autism — she always has his back,” Holly said in her 2010 interview. “She connects with him well now, which is wonderful because she couldn’t connect with him as well early on when he was non-verbal.”
Holly went on to explain the difference between her three boys and daughter, telling PEOPLE, “Between the boys and my daughter it’s a difference of night and day! I find that the boys shrug off the drama and move on, but my daughter holds onto it. It becomes Days of Our Lives! I’m happy just having the one girl. She’s all the woman I can handle in this lifetime.”

In the same interview, Holly joked about her four children being aware of her and her husband’s fame, telling PEOPLE that as young kids, they weren’t privy to how well known she and the former NFL quarterback were before they were born.
“I was walking down the street with my daughter, I think it was in New York City, and someone walked past and was like, ‘Hey Holly, how are you doing?’ And I was like, ‘Hey!’ And a minute later my daughter asked, ‘How does she know you?’ And I was like, ‘Girl, your mama was a big deal in the ’90s! I was on TV!’ So it’s big for them when random people are saying hi to me — they look at that and think it’s funny,” Holly recalled of her kids’ younger years.
“But regardless of what Rodney and I have done, they’re regular, well-balanced kids, and I’m so proud of that,” the actress added.
Despite having an active career in Hollywood for five decades as an actress, author, and talk show host, ultimately leading to a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2022, Holly’s role as a mom to her four children has seemingly been her most fulfilling one yet.
