As “Big Bang Theory” star Kaley Cuoco awaits the arrival of her second child with her fiancé, actor Tom Pelphrey, some of her closest pals threw her a baby shower she’ll never forget.
On August 16, 2026, friends including Hallmark’s Lacey Chabert and Disney Channel alum Kimberly J. Brown celebrated the “Guiding Light” veteran at an adorable and colorful “Taco Bell themed” party.

Cuoco shared pics and videos of her celebration in her Instagram Stories, including a pic of holding her and Pelphrey’s three-year-old daughter Matilda. Mom and daughter were both wearing fiesta-style dresses with floral embroidery, and she wrote over the photo, “Today was just the sweetest…..baby P x 2”
She also shared a video of Matilda adorably sticking her fingers into the icing of a giant cake decorated with a giant Taco Bell logo, surrounded by tortilla chips and topped with burritos made out of frosting. Cuoco wrote over the video, “When your shower is Taco Bell themed.”
In other pics, Cuoco’s celebrity pals could be seen enjoying the day, including Chabert and Brown, who are real life besties and have appeared together in two Hallmark movies — 2019’s “Crossword Mysteries: Proposing Murder” and 2025’s “Haul Out the Halloween.”
Brown, best known for Disney’s “Halloweentown” movies, shared glimpses of the shower in her Instagram Stories that revealed guests received cute hats and tote bags with the words “Just a girl who loves tacos” on them.
She also posted a pic with herself, Cuoco, Chabert, and other guests including Cuoco’s “8 Simple Rules” co-star Amy Davidson, “The Bold & the Beautiful” alum Ashley Aubra Jones, “1923” star Julia Schlaepfer, and Cuoco’s sister, Briana. Over the pic, Brown wrote, “We love you @kaleycuoco 👶🏻💜” and added a GIF that said “Forever Friends.”

In 2024, Cuoco appeared in an episode of Chabert’s “Celebrations” docuseries on Hallmark+, as Chabert prepped a surprise party for a woman named Liv who founded the Underdog Community Project. Cuoco provided merch for the party from her pet health company, Oh Norman, and Chabert provided a bit of insight into their years-long friendship.
“Kaley and I have known each other a really long time, and she’s been a dear friend of mine for years,” Chabert said on the show. “And she throws beautiful parties. She actually threw a really beautiful bridal shower for me when I was getting married, and it’s one of my favorite memories.”
GettyChabert married businessman David Nehdar in December 2013 and they share a daughter, Julia, who will turn 10 in September.
Cuoco, meanwhile, got engaged to “Ozark” alum Pelphrey in 2024 after two years of dating. They were set up by their mutual manager, Andrea Pett-Joseph, per People, and decided to have kids before planning a wedding.
When they met at the “Ozark” premiere, Cuoco told People, “I heard his voice, and I turned around, and it was like my life was over, or just starting. It hit me. It was love at first sight.”
