Kayla Wallace’s Sweet Baby Update Has Fans Swooning

Real-life Hallmark couple Kayla Wallace and Kevin McGarry have reached a big milestone as first-time parents, as their little one graduates from bassinet to crib. Late on August 22, 2026, Wallace, who met her husband on the set of “When Calls The Heart” and now stars on the Paramount+ hit “Landman,” marked the big day with a post that touched lots of parents who remember that early milestone.

Posting a short video from their baby’s nursery, with a sweet stuffed giraffe tucked inside their high-tech SNOO bassinet and a teddy bear on the floor, Wallace wrote, “That’s a wrap on our Snoo bassinet🩵 Time👏🏻goes👏🏻by👏🏻too👏🏻fast👏🏻. @happiest_baby I can’t thank you enough for giving us SO many extra hours of sleep and peace of mind as first time parents.”

Kayla Wallace Has Said Their High-Tech Bassinet Has Worked Like Magic

Wallace, 32, and McGarry, 40, announced their baby’s birth on Mother’s Day, May 10, but did not announce the newborn’s name, gender, or birth date. However, in each post Wallace has shared about their little one, she’s included a blue heart emoji.

On May 21, the actress shared that Happiest Baby had gifted them with a SNOO bassinet and said in a post that it was working like “magic.” Developed by pediatrician Dr. Harvey Karp, author of “Happiest Baby on the Block,” it’s billed as a “smarter and safer baby bed.” With the push of a button, the bassinet provides white noise and a slow rocking movement to “recreate the womb’s soothing sensations,” per the product website.

The high-tech bassinet retails for $1,695 or can be rented for $159 a month. Happiest Baby says it “adds 1-2 hours of sleep a night with constant calming womb-like motion + sound.”

The fact Wallace and McGarry’s infant is graduating from the bassinet means they’re experiencing some big milestones. According to the SNOO website, most babies move on from the bassinet by the time they’re six months old, reach 25 pounds, or “start pushing up on hands and knees.” The site notes, “When your little one shows increased mobility, like rolling over frequently or trying to sit up, it’s time to complete the transition.”

Fans Swoon Over Kayla Wallace’s Update, Urging Her to Cherish These Early Parenting Milestones

Wallace’s post brought a flood of memories back for other parents, who filled her comment section with well wishes and reminders to cherish these special moments.

“Time does fly far too fast,” one wrote. “I blinked and I have a four year old. Feels like yesterday my nine month old was born.”

Another noted, “Enjoy every minute with your little person. As you say time passes too quickly!! My grandsons are 17 & 26!!”

When someone commented, “These look so cozy!! I need them in adult size 😂❤️” Wallace responded, “you and me both!”

“This is so precious,” another fan wrote. “So happy you had peace of mind and extra sleep. 💙”

Though Wallace and McGarry haven’t shared personal details about their little one yet, she has periodically posted updates on their journey as new parents, including a Father’s Day pic of McGarry building a dresser for their baby’s room.

McGarry has returned to the set of WCTH this month as the cast films season 14 of the hit series. Wallace, meanwhile, hasn’t appeared on the show in a couple of years given her demanding schedule on “Landman,” which she’s expected to start filming again this fall.
