Hallmark star Kevin McGarry just celebrated another birthday, and his wife posted a sweet tribute in honor of the big day. McGarry, who plays Nathan Grant on “When Calls the Heart,” is married to “Landman” star Kayla Wallace.
McGarry and Wallace met when she played Fiona Miller on WCTH.

McGarry celebrated his 41st birthday on March 18, and Wallace couldn’t help but gush over him. She posted a handful of casual snapshots on her Instagram page and shared a sweet message.
In the caption, Wallace wrote, “Happy Birthday my love @kevin_mcgarry_w. You amaze me. Life just keeps getting more wonderful with you.” She added a pink heart emoji to the end of her caption.
Shortly after Wallace posted her birthday message for her husband, he replied with a simple comment. “Love you xx.”
Dozens of “When Calls the Heart” colleagues and fans added their own birthday messages for McGarry. Several shared comments about specific photos that Wallace included.
One fan noted, “Aw, I remember the very first Polaroid post. HBD, @kevin_mcgarry_w!”
The first photo that Wallace included in her Instagram post showed two Polaroid pictures of Wallace and McGarry together, side by side. It looked as if they were from the early days of the pair’s romance.
Another fan wrote, “You two are going to be such fun parents.”
Wallace & McGarry Are Expecting Their 1st Child Any Day Now
As “When Calls the Heart” fans know, the couple is expecting their first baby very soon. They met in 2018, People noted, and confirmed their romance in November 2020.
The duo got engaged in December 2022, and in September 2024, McGarry confirmed they had married. Their pregnancy news was revealed via an Instagram post on November 11, 2025.
The pair teased, “Premiering 2026,” and Wallace was sporting a notable baby bump in the photos they shared.
Wallace and McGarry were the first Hallmark pair to announce their pregnancy in what has turned out to be a “When Calls the Heart” baby boom. In addition, Erin Krakow and Ben Rosenbaum are expecting their first child. Krakow plays McGarry’s love interest, Elizabeth Thornton, on the show. Rosenbaum plays Mike Hickam.
Not to be outdone, Chris McNally revealed during the Hallmark Christmas Experience in December 2025 that he and his long-time love, Hallmark’s Julie Gonzalo, were also expecting their second child together.
None of the three couples have revealed their due dates. However, it seems that all three babies are likely arriving fairly soon.
