In the caption, Stamos, who got his big break as Blackie Parrish on the daytime soap opera “General Hospital,” reminded Butler that they loved him. “Back to drawing board, I guess. (And for the record, we love our friend @gerardbutler).”

Stamos and Loughlin have known each other for decades, and they reprised their roles as Jesse Katsopolis and Rebecca Donaldson Katsopolis in Netflix’s sitcom, “Fuller House.” Stamos has been a vocal supporter of Loughlin amid her split from Giannulli. In an appearance on the “Good Guys” podcast following the announcement that the couple would be ending their relationship, Stamos addressed Loughlin’s heartache.
“I’m just heartbroken for her right now,” he said, People reports. “She’s just devastated. For a girl who has lived her life really well, a good person, a good mother, a good wife — I know all this for a fact — to be thrown into now this separation and, you know, exploding, blowing up her family this way. I just hate to see her go through this. I really do.”
He continued, “Whatever he did to her, it busted her up to the core. She put up with a lot over the years of this guy. And again, I’m not going to get into the relationship. It’s not my business. I mean, I know a lot, and I was by her side through a lot of it. She is an angel, and she always made things better. She cleaned everything up. He’s a very successful dude.”
Stamos also declared that he would “never” talk to Giannulli again.
Loughlin has chosen not to publicly discuss the dissolution of her marriage, but sources told People in January 2026 that she is unhappy with her ex. “Lori is still extremely angry with him,” the source said. However, another insider said that Giannulli thinks favorably of his ex. “He thinks she’s a lovely person and an incredible mom,” the source said. “He wants everything resolved quietly.”
