Actor Michael Rady has fans swooning over a pic from his latest photo shoot with celebrity photographers Drew and Derek Riker, posted via social media on April 10, 2026. But in a refreshing bit of honesty, the longtime Hallmark Channel star admitted in the caption of his shirtless photo that his chiseled abs and beefy biceps were the result of some seriously hard work.
Rady, 44, captioned the post with a truth bomb, telling fans, “This took months of obsessive training(with highly experienced epic pro and all around good dude @mikesaffaie ), two weeks of cutting calories, a day of deliberate dehydration, and lifting weights before and during the shoot.”
“I looked like this for about four hours,” Rady candidly wrote of his sizzling pic. “Thought it was worth being honest about that. AND every time I shoot with @rikerbrothers … the most wonderfully kind and talented fellows I ever want to shoot with”

Unsurprisingly, fans and friends flooded Rady’s post to swoon — not only over the dad of four’s decidedly non-dad bod, but over his humility.

Rady humbly expressed his appreciation to many in the comment section of his post, insisting that the workouts and diet required before the photo shoot was “insane AND unsustainable.”
When someone exclaimed, “You’re perfect!!!😍” Rady wrote back, “no perfection here I promise!”
Another fan asked how the intense training impacted Rady mentally, and he answered, “I had a goal and I was strategic about it. So I gave me pride in the accomplishment, a MUUUUCH deeper understanding of what goes behind eeeeevvvvvvveeeeerrryyyyy picture we see everywhere, and gratitude that I don’t feel a compulsion to try and sustain that in Everyday life.”
However, Rady’s wife Rachael adorably countered that notion, writing in the comments, “Except that you always look like this 🔥”
When Rady’s not busy maintaining his washboard abs or acting, from Hallmark rom-coms to CBS’ “Tracker,” he’s happily at home in Connecticut with Rachael and their kids. The couple moved their family from Los Angeles nearly a decade ago to immerse themselves in nature and a charming community with schools their kids love.
Rady even has a workshop on their property where he puts his expert woodworking skills to the test; he’s built everything from gorgeous tables to an incredible two-story coop for their family of chickens.
