Pascale Hutton Reveals the Surprise Scene-Stealer in Hallmark’s New Mystery

Hallmark recently revealed that another “Nelly Knows Mysteries” movie is airing soon, and fans are thrilled. Both Pascale Hutton and Kavan Smith return for the movie, and it sounds like it will be a great one.

In a recent podcast appearance, Hutton shared a few fun tidbits regarding what fans can expect from “Nelly Knows Mysteries: All Manners of Murder.”

Pascale Hutton Gushed Over the New ‘Nelly Knows Mysteries’ Movie

Fans already love the dynamic that Hutton and Smith have, as they have starred as a couple on “When Calls the Heart” for years. Now, however, they reprise the characters of Nelly and Detective Michael.

During the February 16 episode of the “Suspenders Unbuttoned” podcast, Hutton gushed, “We’re so excited. I really loved this one. Kavan and I really loved making it.”

As Hutton noted, the new “Nelly Knows Mysteries” movie was filmed about a year ago. She pointed out that it is “kind of a long turnaround for these movies” for it to just now be airing.

Hutton explained that during the first “Nelly Knows Mysteries,” they were really just establishing the characters and dynamic between them. In the upcoming movie, however, “I think it’s a really strong mystery.” The level of storytelling is elevated in comparison to the previous movie, it seems.

She also praised the others in the movie, saying “Our supporting cast in this is really top notch. They are so good.”

It was clear that Hutton is truly excited for fans to finally get to see the new “Nelly Knows Mysteries” movie.

A Pomeranian Seems to Steal the Show in the New Hallmark Movie

The mystery in “Nelly Knows Mysteries: All Manners of Murder” involves a Pomeranian dog. Hutton teased that she had a funny story about working with this particular Pomeranian.

“The Pomeranian was so loud when it breathed that we were like, what are we gonna do? We’re gonna have to loop this entire movie…the Pomeranian’s in a lot of scenes.”

Looping lines refers to the actors adding or re-recording the dialogue after filming. In this case, the purpose of looping would be to eliminate the sound of the Pomeranian breathing heavily, adding the dialogue without interference.

Hutton also mentioned having watched another show that had a Pomeranian in it, though she couldn’t remember its title. She laughed, “I was like, ‘Oh, she had to loop all her lines. I know she did. I know what it’s like doing a show with a Pomeranian, loudy, noisy.”
