Ahead of another new episode of Hallmark’s “When Calls the Heart,” Pascale Hutton (Rosemary Coulter) shared a couple of fantastic snapshots from behind the scenes. WCTH fans loved the photographs, and the cast members involved all had a bit of fun with them.
Kavan Smith Understood the ‘Goofy Face’ Assignment
On January 23, Hutton took to Instagram to share what she noted were a couple of “Episode 4 BTS” snapshots. Both snapshots showed Kavan Smith (Leland Coulter), Kevin McGarry (Nathan Grant), and Jack Wagner (Bill Avery) in costume standing next to one another.
The first photo showed the three “When Calls the Heart” stars smiling as they looked at the camera. The second photo, it appeared, was supposed to feature the men doing silly looks. Smith fully committed, and Wagner shared a goofy grin. McGarry, however, looked as if he hadn’t shifted his look at all.
Fans, and their fellow “When Calls the Heart” co-stars, took notice.
Erin Krakow (Elizabeth Thornton) commented, “Love these!”
Smith wrote, “Hey! Someone said crazy faces. I’m the only one. Wth.”
Krakow hopped in to reply, “@kavansmith Heads up – @kevin_mcgarry_w basically never goes for the goofy face. At leasts not intentionally.”
Someone else joked that Smith’s goofy face was really his “normal face,” and Hutton teasingly replied, “facts.”
Another “When Calls the Heart” fan questioned, “Love these, but how is Kevin the serious one.”
“Hallmark is bringing out the big guns to get me to watch the show…It’s working,” quipped someone else.
An additional fan added, “Now, that’s a power trio!”
Episode 4 of ‘When Calls the Heart’ Season 13 Brings the Community of Hope Valley Together
A couple of “When Calls the Heart” fans bemoaned the absence of Chris McNally (Lucas Bouchard) in the shots. Some others made it clear they were quite charmed by the vests that Smith, McGarry, and Wagner wore in the snapshots.
“I’m inVESTed,” joked a fan.
A fan raved, “Three of my favorite Hope Valley men!”
“Where is Lucas/Chris? They are missing a great character & friend. the boys can’t be back in town without him,” another “When Calls the Heart” fan suggested.
Episode 4 of “When Calls the Heart” season 13 airs on Sunday, January 25. The episode is titled “Until Proven Guilty.” According to Hallmark, Elizabeth will collaborate with Allie (Jaeda Lily Miller) to surprise Oliver (Jacob Shoemay) with a birthday party.
The birthday celebration will help unite the community of Hope Valley, which dearly needs it after the fire at Goldie National Park.
