‘NYPD Blue’ Alum Sharon Lawrence, 64, Shines at the Gracie Awards as Fans Say She’s ‘Aging Like Fine Wine’

Whatever tricks Sharon Lawrence has up her sleeve to stop Father Time from coming near, it’s working. The 64-year-old “NYPD Blue” alum is as busy as ever, from Hallmark movies to live theater, but somehow looks refreshed and radiant every time she steps onto a red carpet.

That was the case on May 20, 2026, as Lawrence attended the 51st annual Gracie Awards in Beverly Hills, California, to celebrate with the cast of Hallmark Channel’s “A Grand Ole Opry Christmas” for winning the Best Made for TV Movie award. Take a look for yourself…

Lawrence has been turning heads since landing her breakout role as Assistant District Attorney Sylvia Constas on “NYPD Blue” from 1993 to 1999. On May 19, she shared a still photo from an old scene via Instagram and wrote, “Awww… 🥰 Wonderful memories of the whole show and how it changed my life.”

Over 30 years after nabbing that role, she was still positively glowing on the red carpet at the 2026 Gracie Awards, donning a form-fitting black gown, sleeveless on one side, with jewels to match the award she was holding.

Lawrence was in the ensemble cast of Hallmark’s 2025 holiday movie “A Grand Ole Opry Christmas,” which won a 2026 Gracie for Best Made-for-Television Movie. She celebrated with fellow Hallmark stars Nikki DeLoach, Eliza Hayes Maher (who played a younger 90s version of Lawrence’s character), James Denton, and more.

The actress has become a fan-favorite on the network, appearing in numerous holiday movies including 2019’s “Merry & Bright,” and the popular “Christmas House” movies in 2020 and 2021, co-starring Jonathan Bennett, with whom she quickly grew very close.

Though she played Bennett’s mom on TV, she now thinks of him as a son in real-life, even getting choked up with pride when she appeared on his Hallmark unscripted series “Finding Mr. Christmas” in 2025.

In a post honoring Lawrence that June, Bennett recalled, “When we were shooting The Christmas House, I met Sharon on my plane to Vancouver. I thought she was the director because she was wearing a vest and looked like a crew member ready to go out into the elements, but alas she turned to me and said, ‘I play your mother.’ Who knew she would actually become my mom.”

Sharon Lawrence’s Mom Looks Equally Youthful at 87

It’s pretty clear where Lawrence discovered her Fountain of Youth — right in her own backyard! For Mother’s Day, she posted a tribute to and photos of her beloved mom, Earlyn Sams Lawrence, from a trip back home to North Carolina.

At 87, her mom looks incredibly vibrant and youthful, just like her famous daughter, who sweetly wrote, “She supported me from the earliest moments as a healthy and happy young mother and throughout all of my 65 (counting in- utero:) years in pursuing my gifts and aspirations by modeling the balance in their happy home between traditional and transition, expectation and exploration , responsibility and relaxation, holding close and letting go.”

Lawrence continued, “My ease in the world comes from the security of the loving environment she created, her natural good instincts as a young and evolving mother, her genuine interest and attention, and unconditional love. Her natural poise and connection with others has been a model for me.”

Fans couldn’t get over the youthful beauty of both women, flooding the comment section with compliments, calling them “gorgeous,” “beautiful,” and “aging like fine wine.” We couldn’t agree more.
