Actor Dean McDermott and “Beverly Hills 90210” alum Tori Spelling have officially settled their divorce, according to Us Weekly. The actors, who both have a history at Hallmark Channel, were married for 18 years before Spelling filed for divorce in March 2024.
On November 4, 2025, Us Weekly reported that court documents submitted the previous day by Spelling, 52, revealed that she and McDermott, 58, had completed a written agreement covering all issues in their split, including her receiving physical custody of their five children — Liam, 18, Stella, 17, Hattie, 14, Finn, 13, and Beau, 8. But according to multiple reports, Spelling has requested financial support that could prove difficult for McDermott to provide.
Dean McDermott Recently Revealed His & Tori Spelling’s Monthly Incomes
GettySpelling has faced numerous financial challenges since her heydey on “90210,” reality shows with McDermott, book deals, and her 2003 Hallmark movie “A Carol Christmas.”
In her November 3 court filing, according to E! News, she confirmed that child support and spousal support from McDermott “should be ordered.” She also asked that the judge determine how much of her attorney fees McDermott should pay for.
It’s not clear how McDermott would be able to fulfill those requests, though. In financial documents he filed on September 5, McDermott told the court that his “acting and producing work has decreased drastically” in recent years and that he became an alcohol and drug counselor in late 2023, E! News reported at the time.
Outlining his earnings, McDermott said he now earns $3,800 per month working for Conscious Community & Vanity Recovery rehabilitation center, but has monthly bills totaling $3,980, Us Weekly reported. He also noted that his girlfriend since 2023, Lily Calo, earns around $600 per month, per E! News, but doesn’t contribute to his living expenses.
In his September filing, McDermott also noted he has steep financial debt, including $200,000 owed on a loan to City National Bank and over $14,000 in credit card debt, E! News reported. He also claimed Spelling makes between $5,000 and $75,000 per month “depending on the job.”
Tori Spelling Supported Dean McDermott’s Return to Acting in Early 2025
GettyIn the new court documents, according to People, Spelling said she and McDermott separated over “irreconcilable differences” in 2023.
But the two have maintained a friendly co-parenting relationship, and Spelling even publicly cheered on McDermott’s return to Hallmark in January 2025, when he appeared in “Polar Opposites” — his first Hallmark movie since 2009’s “Always and Forever.” Spelling shared a post about the movie in her Instagram Stories and wrote, “Family is so proud.”
In the summer of 2023, McDermott enrolled in a treatment program to address an addiction to alcohol and prescription medications, he told The Daily Mail that November. He also admitted that his substance abuse eroded his marriage to Spelling.
“All Tori’s ever done to this day is want me to be happy and healthy,” he told the outlet, “and I inflicted a lot of damage and pain on that woman.”
