HGTV stars Dave and Jenny Marrs are celebrating a bittersweet moment with their children.
Although the “Fixer to Fabulous” stars love watching their children learn and grow, they also get emotional as they realize their children are growing up.
Summer vacation is over and the Marrs children are starting a brand-new school year. In a new social media post, Dave and Jenny Marrs fawned over their beloved children and wished them an excellent year full of learning and love.
Dave & Jenny Marrs’ Children Are Starting the New School Year
Dave and Jenny Marrs are the proud parents of five children: twins Nathan and Ben, 16, Sylvie, 14, Charlotte, 12, and Luke, 8. After a summer full of fun and adventure, it’s time for the children to start a new school year. The Marrs family marked the occasion with a group photo before the school day started.
“First day of school for the kids. It blows my mind how fast time goes. They are all the best parts of @jennymarrs and me. Love them so much,” Dave captioned a sentimental Instagram post this morning.
“The very best ❤️🥹❤️” Jenny replied in the comments, getting emotional over how grown up her little ones look.
Fans left kind well-wishes in the comments, hoping each child has an excellent year ahead of them.
“I cannot believe how big they have gotten! I have watched you guys since when they were so very little! Happy first day of school to them 🙏🏽❤️” a social media follower wrote.

The Family Has a Passion For Children and Family
Though Dave and Jenny Marrs are best known for their HGTV appearances and renovation skills, they have strong hearts for children. After welcoming their twin sons, the couple knew they wanted to adopt a child too. They adopted their daughter, Sylvie, from the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
“I feel like God put [it] on our hearts that she was ours, and right when you knew, it was just like, ‘Yup.’ It was a key in a lock,” Dave told PEOPLE in 2019.
“The emotion of it was really similar to the birth of our bio children — that first time holding them,” Jenny chimed in. “I get emotional thinking about it, ’cause it was just really special.”
As the new school year begins, the Marrs family has no shortage of projects to keep them busy. Dave and Jenny Marrs are currently working on “Fixer to Fabulous” season 8. The new season will debut on HGTV at a later date.
“This year, we have a lot. We’ve got a lot of projects going on,” Jenny told TV Insider this summer. She and Dave are working on transforming an airplane hangar into a home for Dave’s brother, Matt, and his family.
“That one’s really cool and has been, probably, one of the most challenging of the season just because it’s our family, and there’s just an extra level of pressure when it’s family,” Jenny added.
