Jasmine Roth is earning plenty of frequent flyer miles as she works on a new “top secret project” for HGTV. The “Help! I Wrecked My House” star shared the challenges of parenting while traveling for work, hinting at what she’s currently working on.
Jasmine Roth Is Working on a ‘Secret Project’ for HGTV
On April 6, Roth took to Instagram to answer a question: “Was it worth it?” She was referring to the decision to fly back home to be with her kids on Easter.
Answer: it was very much worth it, but the move wasn’t without some challenges.
“After a whirlwind 24 hours, I’m back at work (currently commuting for a top secret project with @hgtv) and this is the question everyone keeps asking me this morning. Was it worth it?” she wrote in the caption.
Roth continued, “Short and long answer: YES! Being a working parent, especially when you love your job as much as I do, is a constant pull in regards to your time, your commitment, and your attention. We all have the same 24 hrs in a day and I have yet to find the magic hack that makes it possible to feel like you’re getting it all done.”
“But I will tell you one thing I’ve figured out that’s helped me immensely. If you have it in you, like if you’re in any way able, you SHOW UP,” the HGTV star shared. “Just showing up, in work, family, life has served me so well. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again — if someone offers me a seat at the table, you better believe I’ll be there to sit down!”
Roth concluded with a message about feeling “pulled” when balancing work and family time.
“So if you’re like me and feeling ‘pulled’ today — know you aren’t alone,” she wrote. “There’s a good chance it will feel this way for a long time and honestly, what a blessing to be wanted and loved.”
“But it’s also not easy and it can get overwhelming. But I SEE YOU! Keep doing what you’re doing, giving it your all, and trying your hardest because that’s all any of us can do,” Roth added.
In an April 5 Instagram post, Roth explained that it was the longest she had been away from her two daughters, who are 1 and 5 years old. “And I couldn’t imagine not seeing them for another day,” she shared.
