Jasmine Roth is diving into an ambitious new project — and it’s already way over budget. See what the HGTV star is currently working on, with plans to show fans the ongoing progress.
Jasmine Roth Reveals ‘The Treehouse’ Project
On April 23, Roth took to Instagram to share a look at the huge project she’s currently involved in.
“Here’s what we’re working with! I’m calling this project ‘The Treehouse’ because it’s actually four stories and built into the side of a mountain in Utah,” she explained in the caption.
Roth continued, “It’s tall and narrow, I’ve already gone $150,000 over budget on the excavation, and as much as that stings I have to chalk it up as a learning experience. Good thing I had a big contingency set aside!”
“I have a few really special ideas for this project, starting with the kitchen,” she explained. “And as far as the design style goes, I’m leaning into ‘Nordic Chalet.’ What do you think?”
The HGTV star added, “Want to see what happens next? Follow along to see this new construction project come to life … “
She included a video to show the progress thus far, noting, “I’m taking on a project that could define my reputation in Utah.”
“It’s my first ground up construction project in Park City,” she noted. “And built into a mountain!”
“Follow along to see how it goes,” she added.
Roth Takes Fans Inside the Home’s Dreamy Kitchen
The HGTV star also included a look at the kitchen in progress, showing the cabinets and countertop, as well as a peek outside at the mountain view from the front steps.
“A progress update at The Treehouse — the kitchen countertops have arrived from @marbleyard. What do you think? Also I’m obsessed with this integrated cabinet hardware in the kitchen. 😍,” she noted in the caption.
Roth added, “Oh, and in the living room is going to be a fireplace stove that will help give this room a mountain casual feel. Now let’s install these kitchen countertops … “
Earlier in the day, Roth took to Instagram to first tease the project, writing, “It’s been a while, but I’m finally ready to share what I’ve been up to. Any guesses?”
She shared some photos of the project, noting, “I never could’ve expected this to be the next step of my story.”
Roth shared how a project came along “that I couldn’t say no to,” but there were challenges — and she had some worries.
“The timing of this one couldn’t be worse, and I’m concerned I might not be able to deliver in a way I can be proud of,” she wrote. “I know this project is going to challenge me as a designer, but also could mean so much to growing my portfolio.”
She also posted a video, teasing, “I’ve been keeping a big secret … “
In the caption, she wrote, “I’m going for it! Standing in my latest project 🏔️.”
Roth added, “I can’t wait to bring you all along on this ground up construction project in Park City, Utah. Who is ready to see how this comes to life?!”
