Jenny Marrs Enjoys Healing Break After Months of ‘Loss & Sorrow’

Jenny Marrs took fans along for some of her recent family fun, noting how it was much-needed after suffering the “most emotional months” of her life. See what the HGTV star and her family did for vacation.

Jenny Marrs & Family Get Away Following Recent Loss & Sorrow

On October 17, Marrs took to Instagram to share a family photo on a sandy beach with a beautiful backdrop.

“After one of the most emotional months of my life, God knew I needed to be right here this weekend,” she wrote in the caption. “Surrounded by love and laughter and the squeals of cousins who are reunited again.”

Marrs added, “We planned the weekend away for the kids’ fall break but I had no idea how much my heart would need this at this exact moment. So, so grateful.”

The HGTV star took fans along for some of the highlights of their vacation accommodations, showing off clips on her Instagram Stories. The Evermore Orlando resort house had plenty of room for the whole family as well as fun activities, including a private pool, pool table, and movie theater room.

On October 20, Marrs shared photos and videos from their trip, reflecting on how special it was to spend the time together with family.

“Growing up in Central Florida, my whole family would spend weekends together at the beach fairly often. I remember walking over to 7-Eleven with my older cousins to buy ring pops and slushees every afternoon while our parents sunbathed. Dave first met my entire big, boisterous family at one of those beach weekends and was welcomed into the fold immediately,” she wrote in the caption.

The HGTV star noted how those kinds of gatherings “have become increasingly rare.”

She shared, “Life has gotten busier for us all and time together is such a treasure. When Dave and I were planning the long weekend (our kids get a few days off in October for fall break), we knew we wanted to get the whole family together and found a new resort built with large families in mind right in the heart of Orlando.”

“We were blown away by the fact that it felt like we were tucked away on a Caribbean island for a few days rather than being down the street from Disney World,” Marrs continued. “The resort was absolutely magical. And, finding a house big enough to fit us all (not to mention it was the most incredible house ever — with an arcade and bunk rooms and a movie theater and a private pool) was such a treat.”

The “Fixer to Fabulous” star shared, “We stayed up too late each night laughing and woke up to Dad’s coffee and Dave’s pancakes each morning. We even had dinner cooked for us by a private chef at the house one night and spent the morning relaxing at the spa. It was perfection.”

Marrs added, “And, more than anything, the time together was the gift we all needed. The last six months have been an emotional rollercoaster for us, with too much loss and sorrow for one season of life. So, this time was absolute perfect. God knew we needed this. I’ll never forget this wonderful, memory-bank-filling weekend.”

Fans Loved Seeing the Marrs Family’s Amazing Vacation

Marrs’ mother-in-law recently passed away and the family have been navigating their grief. The HGTV star also dealt with the stress surrounding the release of her new book, “Trust God, Love People.”
