Jenny Marrs is mourning the loss of her beloved Nana, but is also sharing the beauty amid her family’s grief. See what the HGTV star shared about saying goodbye to her grandmother and the dream she had that provided “comfort” to her “aching heart.”
Jenny Marrs Shares Emotional Tribute to Late Grandmother
On November 10, Marrs took to Instagram to share moments from the day of her grandmother’s funeral service. She presented the images in reverse order because of the beauty that ended the day.
“These photos work backward because I love how the day ended yesterday,” she wrote in the caption. “The rays of sun breaking through the clouds as our big, loving, beautiful family gathered to celebrate the life of the one who’s love we will carry with us always.”
The HGTV star continued, “On the morning of Nana’s passing, I had the briefest dream of a bright white light. I feel like God gave me a glimpse behind the veil as a comfort to my aching heart. I don’t know how else to describe it except it shone from within me and radiated outward. I also felt an immense peace coupled with the most overwhelming joy. And, I could hear the faintest hint of laughter in the distance.”
“They were all there waiting to welcome her: Papa, Memaw and Granddaddy, her sisters and brother, Garret, Greg, Grandma Shirley, Dave’s mom and grandma … and so many others,” Marrs noted.
“I woke up feeling so peaceful. I knew she was about to have the reunion that she has dreamt of for years,” Marrs wrote. “She was going to dance and hug and laugh so hard tears would stream down her cheeks. Only, always, happy tears. Forever.”
The “Fixer to Fabulous” star added, “Yet, I also knew we would all have tears here too. Our tears will someday be wiped dry but, for now, they’re sacred. They are proof of how deeply we loved Nana and, most of all, how abundantly she loved us back. Just like she always said: She loves us more, for Eternity. 🤍🪽”
