HGTV fans are in for a treat on an upcoming crossover episode that combines “Zillow Gone Wild” and “My Lottery Dream Home.” Jack McBrayer shares what’s in store when David Bromstad stops by his show.
David Bromstad Joins Jack McBrayer on Special Episode of ‘Zillow Gone Wild’
“Zillow Gone Wild” season 3 kicks off on May 1 and, in the season finale, Bromstad will team up with McBrayer.
In an April 2026 interview with TV Insider, McBrayer gave some details about the very special episode.
“Oh, it was so fun,” he said. “We were in Florida, and our homeowner was obsessed with James Bond spy movies, so it was very James Bond-inspired. And, like, to the T. It was so fun.”
The actor shared how he loved seeing Bromstad “in his element” first-hand.
“That fella knows a house,” McBrayer shared. “I’m just the turkey who goes around, like, ‘Oh, what is that? Oh, look. You’ve got part of a car in there!'”
The “30 Rock” star continued, “But he’s the one, like, ‘You know, with this area, what you want with this design …’ Like, he knows his stuff, and I’m just hanging on for dear life.”
“But, man, he is cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs, but we just had the best time,” McBrayer added. “I was like, ‘Any chance to work with him, I would say yes in a heartbeat.'”
Will this event inspire more HGTV crossover opportunities? McBrayer has some ideas about the shows he’d love to drop in on.
“I would love to join Retta on her show, if anything, just to laugh with her all day,” he said of the “Ugliest House in America” and “Scariest House in America” host.
He’d also enjoy joining the hosts of “Wild Vacation Rentals.”
“D’Arcy Carden’s show is in the same vein as ours, so I’m like, ‘Great. Let’s just do that together. Let’s do a crossover. Let’s buy one of those houses, D’Arcy,'” he said.
McBrayer revealed that there will be 41 houses on the new season of “Zillow Gone Wild.”
“I think what we had going in our favor, too, is that for the previous two seasons, homeowners know, like, ‘Oh, they’re not here to make fun. They’re not here to embarrass me for my choices, or whatever,'” the host shared.
“So, it really was just a fun celebration of what each of these owners had done and chosen and designed and where they’re located,” McBrayer said. “That’s been my favorite aspect of the show since the beginning, but I love that more people kind of understand the tone of what we’re trying to do.”
“My Lottery Dream Home” Returns With New Episodes
Fan-favorite “My Lottery Dream Home” also returns with new episodes on May 1.
“From Ohio and Florida to New York and Pennsylvania, David won’t stop until he finds luxurious properties that deliver every feature on his clients’ wish lists,” HGTV said of the new episodes.
The first episode has Bromstad meeting with returning clients Steve and Jen in Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains.
“Traveling the majority of the year for Steve’s job as a race car instructor, the couple will ask David to find them a cozy mountain cabin as a second home base in addition to their Florida beach hub,” the network announced. “Funding the purchase with Jen’s family inheritance, David will show them three unique options nestled in the snowy woods that will also provide the pair with short-term rental income while they are traveling.”
