“It: Welcome to Derry” premiered on HBO in October 2025. It quickly became a significant hit, and now season 1 is set to end on December 14. Luckily, horror fans will have several other options to choose from to get their spooky television fix. Here are three shows to watch now that “Welcome to Derry” is ending.

‘Castle Rock’ Is a Solid Option for ‘It: Welcome to Derry Fans’
There are several options for “It: Welcome to Derry Fans,” but Hulu’s “Castle Rock” may be one of the best. This is partly the reason because it stars Bill Skarsgård, who appears as Pennywise in “It.” The cast also includes André Holland, Sissy Spacek, Melanie Lynskey, and Lizzy Caplan.
“Castle Rock,” which exists in Stephen King’s universe, is a psychological horror series featuring many of the writer’s most iconic characters. The show has strong reviews, with an 88% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The audience gave it 79%, which is still impressive.
Currently, two seasons of the show are available to watch, as Hulu canceled it in 2020. Notably, each season of the show tells a standalone story. Given that many “It: Welcome to Derry” fans want to watch other King properties, many would agree that “Castle Rock” is worth watching.
Watch ‘Midnight Mass’ On Netflix
Horror fans know that director Mike Flanagan is an icon in the genre. This is thanks to shows like “The Haunting of Hill House” and “The Fall of the House of Usher.” However, another of his series, “Midnight Mass,” is also highly recommended and serves as an excellent replacement for “It: Welcome to Derry.”
Like any Flanagan show, “Midnight Mass” is best watched with scarce plot details. In a nutshell, it takes place in an isolated island community and involves the supernatural. It stars Hamish Linklater, Kate Siegel, Zach Gilford, Rahul Kohli, and Samantha Sloyan.
It currently has an 87% rating on Rotten Tomatoes from critics. The audience gave the show a 79% rating. It also has the benefit of being a limited series, which means the story is wrapped up in a single season of seven episodes. Though not the same overall concept as “It: Welcome to Derry,” it’s a creepy good time.
‘From’ on MGM+
Most people go for the bigger streaming platforms when deciding what to watch. However, many of the less popular options also have some highly regarded shows. One example is “From,” which is still in production on MGM+. It’s a solid option to try as season 1 of “It: Welcome to Derry” is sending.
“From” is a sci-fi/horror series that centers on a mysterious town, one where people can never leave once they arrive. The show started in February 2022, and its fourth season is set to premiere in 2026. Its ensemble cast includes Harold Perrineau, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Chloe Van Landschoot, Scott McCord, and many others.
It has an excellent 96% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The audience rating is 80%.
