With that in mind, fans are looking at anywhere between Nov. 29, 2026, and Dec. 19, 2026, as the Netflix release date. It is sadly after the scary season, but there’s always a good time of year for horror.
“Insidious: Out of the Further” is likely to remain on Netflix for 18 months once it does get a release date. That suggests it will be available to stream throughout 2027, whether you want to watch it for Summerween or Halloween next year!

This is despite mixed reviews from critics and audiences alike, with critics giving it a 59% Rotten Tomatoes score and audiences rating it 69% on the Popcornmeter.
Overall, the “Insidious” franchise has gone on to gross $800 million altogether. While a seventh movie has not yet been confirmed, the door is certainly open for it. One of those ways is through a spinoff movie, “Thread: An Insidious Tale,” which will star Mandy Moore and Kumail Nanjiani. This spinoff will follow two parents who are looking to reverse the death of their daughter, only to end up being pulled into The Further. There is no current release date for this movie yet.
