She continued, “And she is โ sheโs so funny. I cannot wait for the world to see how great she is in this movie and hopefully spark more female comedies.”
According to People, fans first saw glimpses of Kardashian working on the set of her new film in March, when photos showed her dressed up like a Las Vegas showgirl, with a feather headpiece and all, while acting alongside a nearly unrecognizable Will Ferrell, who wore a long blonde wig.
Longoria Spills on the Fun Working Alongside Her Female-Led Cast
GettyA synopsis of the film from Netflix reads: “A group of best friends (Nikki Glaser, Fortune Feimster, and Brenda Song) from high school attempt to reconnect during a weekend jaunt to Vegas. When a hot outsider (played by Kardashian) crashes the weekend, theyโre forced to face their messy lives, bad decisions, and unraveling friendships.”
Longoria gushed to People about how fun it was to not only work alongside these incredible stars but with her friends.
“Just sitting and kiki-ing with Kim and everyone,” she began. “Nikki is so profound. Sheโs incredibly insightful and wise beyond her years. I loved just sitting and talking with them. Fortune is just a light โ such a joy to be around. Every day, we were laughing nonstop.โ
The director also touched on how “the set felt different” with not only an all-female-led cast but with a majority of women working behind the scenes. “It was also really special because we had female writers, producers, cast, and a female director,โ she said, adding, โThatโs not common, and you could feel it.”
“The Fifth Wheel” does not have a release date as of this writing.
