Eva Longoria, 50, once told USA Today that the best style advice she had ever been given was “not to follow trends.” Instead, she advised, “Take a classic look and give it a modern twist. A trend is a dangerous path.”
While Eva clearly doesn’t like to follow trends, that doesn’t mean that she’s unwilling to wear something trendy. That just what she did when she took to Instagram on Tuesday, November 11, to share photos of herself posing in a very trendy outfit. By wearing a sheer skirt, she’s jumping on a popular style worn by other stars like Demi Moore and Paris Hilton as well as Jenna Ortega and Dakota Johnson, just to name a few.
However, as Eva said, she likes to put a twist on a trend. That’s surely why she opted for a sheer skirt instead of a full see-through dress, and popped up on a solid, sleeveless bodysuit underneath. Beyond that, her sheer skirt boasted cut-out pieces that make the piece even edgier. That’s not to mention the blazer she threw on to take the look to another level.
Noting that she was in Spain, she wrote in the caption, “Madrid, te amo🖤”
Eva Thinks ‘Self-Confidence’ Is the Most Important Aspect of Style
GettyIn May 2024, she was asked by L’Officiel Ibiza, “With your role as Gabrielle Solis in the series Desperate Housewives, you are now seen as a fashion icon around the world. This image is also perpetuated by the fact that you continue to attend many fashion shows even today. What relationship do you have with fashion on a daily basis?”
“Comfort above all! (Laughs) Simplicity,” she said. “I don’t like to think too much, I like monochrome, matching sets, athleisure wear, I could spend my life in sneakers… I was a girl in heels before though! (Laughs) I think the most important thing is self-confidence, and it doesn’t matter what clothes or the monetary value of what you carry.”
Eva Has Thoughts on the Effect of Beauty
GettyEva may be into simplicity when it comes to her style; however, she doesn’t think our relationship with beauty is so simple. Instead, she told Fashion in March 2021, “Beauty has a way to transform us in the way we feel, not only the way we look.”
She explained, “If [you’ve] ever dramatically changed your hair colour, you feel like a different woman. [Even] when you put a red lipstick. There is power in makeup, hair, and skincare that provides a woman with a boost of energy.”
