Kim Kardashian Pays Tribute to Her Dad 22 Years After His Passing

Kim Kardashian has much to celebrate. Not only is she one of the most influential reality stars of all time, but she’s also a doting mother, a blossoming actress, and an astute businesswoman. Recently, the “All’s Fair” star took to Instagram to pay tribute to her dad, Robert Kardashian.

She took to Instagram Stories on September 29 to remember her dad’s legacy. Notably, the date is 22 years after his death from esophageal cancer. She began, “Thank you for always protecting the family from heaven. Can’t believe I was 22 years old when you passed away, and it’s been 22 years today since you went to heaven.”

Kardashian then said, “I’ve known you just as long as you’ve been gone. I hope you’re proud of all of us. We love you, Dad, and miss you sooooooooo much.”

Kardashian was 59 years old when he passed away in 2003. His tragic death came two months after he received his cancer diagnosis. He is also the father of Kourtney Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, and Rob Kardashian Jr. The legendary attorney was married to Kris Jenner from 1978 until 1991.

The Actress and Reality Star Says Her Dad Reached Out from Beyond the Grave

Kardashian was named “Tycoon of the Year” by GQ Magazine in 2023. During her interview feature, she lovingly mentioned her dad and stated that a medium had delivered her a message from him. Notably, the medium mentioned that he had an issue with his tooth.

She said, “I always said, ‘Dad, get a bonding and fix that tooth.’ He’d just laugh and say, ‘Kimberly, no one sees it. It’s fine.'” She recalled the medium saying, “Your dad is laughing at your tooth.”

The “All’s Fair” actress continued, “Who would know that? It was nothing that was on the show. It was nothing that I had ever said out loud. Those kinds of things just make me smile inside.”

Kardashian also remembered a conversation they had before he passed away. She shared his words, “I know you’re going to be okay. It’s almost like I can see ahead. I know you’re going to be okay, but just take care of your siblings for me. Just make sure you take care of them.”

She’s Not the Only Kardashian Sister to Tribute Their Father

The Kardashian siblings have never been shy about honoring their father’s legacy. The youngest of Kardashian’s daughters also took to Instagram to celebrate him. She did so by posting a previously shared reel to her Instagram Stories.

The caption reads, “I will forever hold space for you. Happy birthday, Daddy. I love you. Thank you for everything. Thank you!”

Kardashian continued, “P.S., this audio can be viewed as sad or beautiful. I choose beauty. I am not sad anymore. Of course, I miss him every single day and wish he were here to meet our babies, but I’m not sad.”

The post went on, “In fact, I feel blessed that I was chosen to have 19 years with the most incredible Man I have ever known. Some people never get that. We did! Thank you for choosing such an incredible mommy to be by our side.”
