GettyKim Kardashian appeared as a guest on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon,” where she revealed that her mom, Kris Jenner, once tricked her into a blind date by making her think it was a job interview.
The SKIMS founder told the host that the blind date was set up long before the family’s hit TV series was on the air, and before Kardashian became a household name.
“My mom, she told me I had a business, I had a job interview, and she told me to go to the restaurant, The Ivy,… Kardashian began. “It was before we even had ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians.’ It was, like, this TV executive, and she told me it was a job interview, but she told him it was a date,” she hilariously shared.
Kardashian continued, “And so I pull up and I go, and I’m like talking about, like, what I want to do. And I had a resume on me.” The reality TV star added that “five minutes in,” she realized that it was not a job interview and quickly put her resume in her bag. While Kardashian truly believed that the man had no idea until years later that he was being set up, her mom had a different story to tell.
Kris Jenner, who attended “The Tonight Show” with Khloé Kardashian, recalled that the TV executive jokingly planned to bring his Emmy to the date, so he was well aware that he was meeting the star. However, Kardashian quickly cut her mom off, believing she would reveal who it was live on air.
When Fallon asked Jenner if she would set up her daughter on a blind date now, Kardashian replied, “I would trust her advice, for sure.” When Fallon asked Khloé, she joked, “Oh, I’m not known for a good picker.”

Sharing advice from her mother about life in her 40s, Kardashian told the magazine that Jenner assured her that “the coming years would be the best of [her] life.”
She added, “It’s true. Only over the past three or four years have I gained this confidence. Before, I constantly needed to check with someone before making a decision. Can you imagine? It’s crazy to rely so much on others’ opinions.”
“Today, I know exactly what I want. It’s exhilarating,” she shared, also crediting Balenciaga’s former artistic director, Demna, for her newfound confidence.
