Kourtney Kardashian’s Husband Travis Barker Set to Release Emotional Documentary About Surviving Deadly Plane Crash

Musician, songwriter, music producer, and Kourtney Kardashian’s husband, Travis Barker, will release a documentary about one of the most harrowing experiences of his life.

In 2008, Barker, 50, survived a horrifying airplane crash. It took the lives of four people and prevented him from flying for several years after.

Barker announced the documentary, which will be called “Louder Than Fear,” at Hulu’s second annual Get Real event. The event took place in Beverly Hills, California, on Tuesday, April 22.

A video uploaded by Us Weekly to their official Instagram account shows Travis Barker announcing his upcoming documentary to a receptive Get Real crowd.

In the 63-second clip, Barker is seen making his way to the event’s stage, dressed in black from head to toe (including a pair of very cool shades).

Barker pulled out his phone to read a prepared script, as his teleprompter was too far away for him to see it. He told the crowd, “I’m really stoked to announce my new documentary, Louder Than Fear. It’s coming out this summer on Hulu.”

He added, “It’s an unfiltered look at my journey after a life-changing experience and also spotlights the amazing people I have in my life who carried me through it. I feel incredibly lucky to be able to document it and be able to share it with all of you.”

Barker concluded by saying, “This documentary started over 10 years ago and it’s been a wild, wild ride, and I can’t wait to share it with the world. Thank you.”

Barker Was One of Only Two Survivors From the Crash

Per People, on September 19, 2008, Barker and Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein had performed a concert near the University of South Carolina. Despite Barker’s fear of small planes, the duo chartered a private jet for transportation to and from Los Angeles.

After the show finished, they boarded the plane to return home, but it crashed during take-off, killing four of its six passengers.

The two musicians were forced to battle through a wall of flames and slide down one of the plane’s wings to escape. They suffered third-degree burns on most of their bodies. Tragically, eleven months later, Goldstein died from a drug overdose.

It’s an experience that has badly affected Barker, but he’s managed to come through it. The documentary will be a fascinating and heart-wrenching insight into it.

Travis Barker is, of course, most famously the drummer for the rock band Blink-182.

Despite the obvious negative effects of experienced the 2008 tragedy, he went on to continue his career with great success.

Per Discogs, since 2008, he has released his only solo studio album, 2011’s “Give the Drummer Some.” He has also released two mixtapes, four EPs, 20 singles as lead artist, and many more as a featured artist.

Having been married twice before his crash, Barker went on to meet Kourtney Kardashian, 47, in 2020. They married in 2022.

He is also a regular on the small screen. His credits include “Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory,” “The Eric Andre Show,” “The Joe Rogan Experience,” and “Downfalls High.” He has, of course, also made appearances on “The Kardashians” (per IMDb).

It’s great (and admirable) that Barker overcame such a horrific tragedy. He has undoubtedly moved on successfully with his life. We can’t wait to see precisely how he did that.

No specific date has been confirmed regarding the release of “Louder Than Fear.” However, you can look forward to it hitting Hulu sometime this summer.
