Kris Jenner is one of Hollywood’s famous moms. “The Kardashians” star and her six children have become worldwide celebrities and entrepreneurs thanks to Jenner’s business-savvy. While Jenner makes it seem easy parenting and managing the lives of her children, she admits it has its challenges.
Kourtney Kardashian Taught Kris Jenner ‘How to be a Mom’
GettyJenner’s journey to motherhood began when she was 23 years old when she gave birth to daughter Kourtney Kardashian. Kourtney was the first child for Jenner and the late Robert Kardashian.
Although being a mom at such a young age was challenging, Jenner says it was “manageable and doable.” On the May 5th edition of the “SHE MD podcast,” the momager discussed her first year as a new mother with Kourtney.
“I had help for 10 when I had Kourtney. I thought that was such a treat and a blessing and such a help. Somebody to help me with those 10 nights when you’re trying to get your strength back and recover from childbirth,” Jenner recalled.
But after the help was gone, Jenner was on her own. An experience she won’t ever forget.
“And then after that, I was just on my own and had some babysitters here and there. I rolled my sleeves up, and I was a full-time mom, which was the best experience of my life. She [Kourtney] taught me how to be a mom.”
Jenner and her ex-husband Robert would later welcome Kim, Khloe, and Rob into the Kardashian family. As their brood grew, it was often a “juggling act” for the mom.
After Jenner’s divorce from Robert, she married Caitlyn Jenner with whom she has daughters Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner. With her last pregnancy, the reality TV star admitted it wasn’t all that fun. “The last one [pregnancy], I had gestational diabetes. Kylie gave me a run for my money.”
Kris Jenner’s Children Are Her Life
GettyAside from being a mom, Jenner is also managing her children’s careers. Thanks to her business smarts, the family’s amassed a billion-dollar empire with their reality shows and business ventures.
It’s a huge transition from her early years as a stay-at-home mom. Jenner’s path to stardom and the workforce began after her divorce from Robert.
“I often say to my kids, I was a Kardashian before you were a Kardashian. I think when I got divorced, and I had four kids, and then knew I was going to go to work, I was really excited about going to work. It made me feel really strong and responsible and self-confident about myself to be able to go out there in the workforce and figure it out.”
Now with their mom’s help, the Kardashian and Jenner kids are paving out their career paths and raising their own kids. Jenner couldn’t be happier than to see her children’s success and now that she contributed to it. “These are now my people. This is my life.”
