Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson appear to be in a very good place as co-parents to their children, after weathering a messy cheating scandal.
The exes sat down together for an incredibly candid conversation for the May 28 episode of “Khloé In Wonderland,” Kardashian’s podcast. The wide-ranging conversation touched on the pair’s relationship woes, which included Thompson’s history of infidelity while they were together.
After making a move on Kylie Jenner’s former best friend Jordyn Woods in 2019, Thompson allegedly cheated on Khloé just days before daughter True’s birth. He also fathered a child with another woman shortly before the embryo transfer that resulted in Tatum’s birth via surrogate. Khloé only found out about the other baby weeks later, even though Tristan had known for months.
The two share two children, daughter True, 8, and son Tatum, 3. Thompson also shares a 9-year-old son, Prince, with ex Jordan Craig and a 4-year-old son, Theo, with Maralee Nichols.
Tristan’s Plan to Tell Children About Infidelity
During the podcast, Khloé asked whether Tristan had put any thought into how he would tell their children about his past indiscretions.
“I’ve definitely thought about that,” said Thompson. “It’s not about if, it’s when. I think it just depends on which age we have this conversation. But I think it’s just more leading by just being accountable, and, depends on the age bracket of wherever they were at, then dive into it however I see fit.”
“The most important thing is accountability,” he stressed, “how much I love Mommy, and go from there.”
Khloé then chimed in, sharing, “You just have to be honest. That’s all kids really want.” Agreeing with Kardashian, Thompson added, “It’s all they want is honesty. And love.”
Khloé’s Vasectomy Ultimatum
During the same conversation, Thompson also revealed he had a vasectomy after an ultimatum from Kardashian. The subject came up after Khloé asked whether he wanted to have more children in the future.
“I think I signed off for two embryos,” Thompson replied. “So, I mean, if I do have more kids, it’d be coming from you. I already have enough baby moms. Don’t want no more.”
Khloé then added, “And who helped you fix that decision? That was me. Tristan may have had a little ultimatum from me.”
Though a self-described “stubborn” Thompson said he resisted the idea at first, he eventually gave in. “Sometimes you have to get forced into the right decision,” he added.
What happens to those embryos, however, is ultimately Kardashian’s decision, the pair revealed.
“You signed them over to me anyway, so I legally own them,” said Khloé, before Thompson added, “No more kids, unless it’s coming from Khloé’s embryos.”
Kardashian also revealed during the conversation that Thompson had some of his sperm saved, just in case a potential future partner wants children with him. Though Khloé said that Tristan could also reverse the vasectomy, he made it pretty clear that wouldn’t be happening—exclaiming, “I’m not laying down on that table again.”
