Ariana Grande is finishing her “Eternal Sunshine Tour,” and the last shows will have a slight wardrobe change. Grande, 33, explained why she’ll be bandaged during concerts on Aug. 31 and Sept. 1.
The injury’s timing coincides with the last dates of the tour. She’ll then take a break.
Ariana Grande Had a ‘Deep Cut’ before Her Last Concerts
The “Petal” singer posted a statement with white text on a black background on her Instagram story on Aug. 31. She revealed that she had an injury before her last two shows in London.
“I wanted to let you know I will need to be in cozy footwear for this [evening’s] show (and possibly tomorrow’s) as I’m bandaged up underneath, recovering from a minor injury,” she shared. “It is not a sprain or anything muscular but just a deep cut!”
The statement continued, “So when you see me tonight without my signature heels, or even possibly having a little trouble putting weight on that foot, that is why! But please do not fret. On with the show and I am on the mend!”
Some fans recorded her recent performance and noticed she was limping on stage and shared it on X. She was wearing knee-high boots with a very high heel.
She, like many other singers, changed her show this week to pay tribute to Dolly Parton. Before her concert started, a video of Parton singing “I Will Always Love You” played.
The two shows at the O2 Arena are sold out. A representative for the singer previously announced that Grande plans to take a break from the public after the tour.

The statement also mentioned that Grande was successful at performing the tour, which is physical and requires athleticism. It’s unknown how the “Wicked” star plans to spend her time during the break, but there is a good chance it might involve her boyfriend.
Grande and Ricky Álvarez confirmed that they are dating on social media. She posted a slide of pictures on Instagram on Aug. 12. One included a blurry picture of them standing close together, and another of him with his arm around her.
Álvarez is a professional dancer and photographer. He was one of her dancers on the Honeymoon Tour. The first time they dated, the relationship lasted over a year.
This is the same “Ricky” that is mentioned in “Thank U, Next.” She sang the breakup song at the Barclays Center and didn’t stick to the original lyric: “Wrote some songs about Ricky/ Now I listen and laugh.” Instead, the pop singer sang, “Wrote some songs about Ricky/ We always find our way back.”‘
This tour caused a stir publicly in many ways. The break seems like perfect timing for Grande to heal.
