Beloved singer Billy Joel is a proud girl dad.
He’s the father of three: Alexa Ray, 40, Della Rose, 11, and Remy Anne, 8. He welcomed Alexa Ray Joel with model Christie Brinkley in 1985. After their split, he welcomed his younger daughters with his current wife, Alexis Roderick. Despite the age gap, there’s nothing but love in the family.
Billy Joel just shared a new photo of Della Rose in honor of her 11th birthday. While fans were delighted to celebrate the little girl, many also quickly pointed out that she bears a striking resemblance to Billy Joel.
Billy Joel’s Daughter Looks Just Like Her Famous Dad
“Happy 11th Birthday to our Della Rose!” the “Piano Man” singer shared on Instagram, attaching a photo of his little girl seated demurely on a rock with the beautiful sea behind her.
While many fans wished Della a happy birthday, many remarked how much she resembled her famous father.
“She looks just like Billy! 🎂” one fan pointed out.

Billy Joel couldn’t be prouder of his daughters. At the end of the last school year, he shared pictures from Della’s elementary school graduation.
“Congratulations to our elementary school graduate! We now have a middle schooler,” Joel penned the sweet tribute to his daughter in May. “Mommy and Daddy are beyond proud of all your hard work and determination. Your first day of school seemed like yesterday. Amazing things are in store for this girl 🌹🌹🌹”
The singer attached several photos of his younger daughters, Della and Remy, throughout their lives. Fans love seeing the girls grow up on Joel’s social media accounts.
The Singer Admits He Won’t Write Any New Songs
Right now, Billy Joel is continuing to recover after experiencing health challenges over the past year. While he seems to be in good spirits, the 77-year-old is largely focused on his family during this chapter of life. His days as a songwriter are over.
“When I got to the end of writing ‘River of Dreams,’ I felt like I was done,” Joel recently told interviewer Rick Beato. “I was married, I had a child, I didn’t want to lock myself in a cave and devote myself like a monk to writing anymore. I had done it 12 times and I thought, ‘You know what? The Beatles had 12 albums.’ And that was just enough for me.”
He went on to say that he’s seen many talented musicians and songwriters lose their luster over time. He didn’t want that to happen to him.
“Maybe they’re not as good as they used to be or they’re not as motivated as they were, but it ends up trailing off. I didn’t want to go like that,” Joel admitted. “It’s not easy to do. Saying no sometimes is really hard to do.”
