Two-time “American Idol” mentor Jon Bon Jovi was seen looking merry as he stepped out for dinner on the night of Monday, August 24 with his daughter-in-law Millie Bobby Brown and his son Jake. The trio went to the trendy celebrity hotspot Dorian in London’s ritzy Notting Hill neighborhood, Page Six says.
In photos from the outing, the 64-year-old musician looks happy and refreshed after facing health struggles last month that forced him to cancel one performance mid-show.
On its Instagram page, the eatery calls itself “a bistro for locals” and shows off creative dishes such as a sea urchin and bluefin tostada, and a buttermilk-fried cornflake chicken leg with the foot still attached.
The “Stranger Things” darling embraced the capri trend by choosing a black-and-white polka dot pair. She completed her look with a simple black top and a beige cardigan and black ballet flats, and wore her hair in a sleek ponytail.
Jake, 24, wore khakis with a relaxed orange sweater, while the “Livin’ on a Prayer” singer went with dark jeans, a black shirt, and a casual black jacket.
Millie, now 22, got her big break when she was cast in the Netflix phenomenon “Stranger Things” at just 12 years old, and has gone on to star in several more projects for the streaming giant including the action thriller “Damsel” and the “Enola Holmes” franchise.
When Was Bon Jovi On ‘American Idol’?
Jon Bon Jovi served as an “American Idol” mentor for the first time during the show’s original run on Fox in 2007 for the Top 6 week. His 1986 hit “Livin’ on a Prayer” was performed by Jordin Sparks, the eventual winner, who went on to sing the song during the American Idols LIVE! tour. He was joined as a mentor by his Bon Jovi bandmate, keyboardist David Bryan.
The rocker returned as a solo mentor during season 22 after the show’s ABC reboot, this time advising the Top 3 finalists.
Bon Jovi Has Resumed ‘Forever Tour’ After Lead Singer’s Vocal Surgery & Sinus Struggles
Bon Jovi is continuing to persevere through his “Forever Tour” after struggling with a sinus infection that forced him to cut short his July 23 concert at Madison Square Garden after playing around half his set.
He told fans from the stage, “I’m sorry, I’m hurt and you’re not getting the best of me. Don’t throw away your ticket stubs, I’m gonna figure something out, OK? Just hold onto it, we’ll figure out how to reschedule. But I’m gonna have to cool it for the night.”
Shortly before the tour launched on July 7, the grandfather of two opened up about his recovery from vocal cord surgery 4 years ago. He said in a People exclusive, “I never did anything to hurt the cords; I didn’t have any excesses. I’m a trained vocalist. I’ve practiced the craft. So when a doctor had to explain to me that one of the cords was literally atrophying, it was confusing.”
He went on to say of his 2022 surgery to fix a damaged cord, “I’m fully recovered. It was longer than I’d ever expected, but it had to be right. We never lost faith.”
