Britney Spears spent Easter Sunday with a few friends who also happen to be in show business. Along with Spears’ manager, Cade Hudson, the pop star was hanging out in the sunny weather with songwriter Diane Warren and “Saturday Night Live” alum Molly Shannon.
To mark the occasion, the group posed by a pool and in front of some idyllic greenery for a rather cheeky photo and, of course, shared it on social media.
Britney Flashed Her Middle Finger While Posing with Her Friends
Shannon took to her Instagram stories on Sunday, April 5, according to Just Jared, and shared a pic of the group while adding text on top, writing, “Such a treat to see @britneyspears @dianewarren #cadehudson today.”
Warren also shared the photo on Instagram and wrote, “Fun afternoon with some old friends!🐰🎶🎵❤️ @theofficialsuperstar @cadehudson22 @britneyspears”
“Spears looked too cool for school with a black wide-brimmed Cordovan hat, chunky black sunglasses, a burnt sienna top and the fingerless black lace gloves that she has recently taken to wearing in her Instagram dance clips,” The Daily Mail noted. “She had a red drink of some sort in her hand, and she flashed a gold luxury wristwatch as she flipped off the camera.”
“Warren, who wore a blue shirt, a black patterned scarf and round-frame amber-tinted sunglasses, followed suit and flashed her own middle finger while displaying a soft smile,” The Daily Mail added. “Shannon, who was dressed in a floral-print top, had an arm around Warren’s shoulders and flashed an infectious smile.”
Britney & Molly Have Been Friends for Years
GettyIf it surprises you see to Spears and Shannon spending time together, you may be tickled to know that they’ve actually been friends for quite a long time.
“Britney and Molly also go way back to the early 2000s, when Britney hosted Saturday Night Live in May 2000, when Molly was a cast member,” Just Jared explained. “This was also the same time the [Oops… I Did It Again] album came out, and she performed the title track and ‘Don’t Let Me Be the Last to Know’ from the LP on the sketch series.”
As for Spears’ connection to Warren, Just Jared notes that “Diane actually wrote a song on Britney‘s second album Oops… I Did It Again. She is credited as the sole songwriter on the 11th track on the record, ‘When Your Eyes Say It.'”
