Britney Spears has broken her social media silence, posting on Instagram for the first time since taking a nearly month-long break that began in early March. Britney shared a video clip in which she and her younger son, Jayden Federline, playfully goofed around in front of a mirror in what appeared to be the pop icon’s Thousand Oaks, California home. Britney’s Instagram account has recently been made private, meaning only those people already following her can view it.
Jayden, 19, is one of the two sons Britney shares with her ex-husband Kevin Federline, to whom she was married from 2004 to 2007. For the video, he wore a trench coat and a fedora, and seemed to reference the King of Pop by commenting, “I wish I could be like Michael.”
Britney wore lacey white shorts and a coordinating long-sleeved crop top for the mother-son moment, switching to pants and a blazer for another portion of the clip.
Britney Spears Shared a Happy Message In Social Media Return
Spears captioned the lighthearted video with Jayden, “Thank you guys for all your support,” before adding, “Spending time with family and friends is such a blessing!”
A previous Page Six report from March 5 said the outlet learned from sources that Jayden and his brother Sean Preston have relocated from Hawaii to California, and plan to start spending more time with their mom. “Her boys are going to be spending time with her. Her loved ones are going to come up with an overdue needed plan to set her up for success for well-being,” the outlet says they were told by Britney’s manager Cade Hudson.
Britney’s Team Previously Released a Statement Following Her Recent Driving Troubles
After Britney was cited for a DUI on March 4, her team released a statement that read, “This was an unfortunate incident that is completely inexcusable. Britney is going to take the right steps and comply with the law and hopefully this can be the first step in long overdue change that needs to occur in Britney’s life. Hopefully, she can get the help and support she needs during this difficult time.”
Her manager also added that the “Toxic” singer’s loved ones are “going to come up with an overdue, needed plan to set her up for success for well-being.”
The incident was triggered by a 911 call that reported Britney’s black BMW was going “in an out of lanes,” according to dispatch audio obtained by Page Six. No one was injured in the incident.
