Charlie Puth is one of the most beloved singer/songwriters working today. Not only does he have several hits, but he is also admired for his dedication to his artistry. Now, the “See You Again” singer has released a new single, “Changes,” and also announced that he’s becoming a dad.
Puth released the music video for “Changes” on October 16. The video itself is relatively simple, highlighting the lyrics to the song, which, as the title suggests, is about the different phases of life. The highlight of the 3-minute and 11-second clip comes when his wife, Brooke Sansone, makes an appearance.
Not only is she in the “Changes” music video, but the couple also used it to announce that they’re expecting.
Charlie Puth Revealed He was Dating In 2022
Puth appeared on “The Howard Stern Show” on October 18, 2022, and was asked about his relationship status. He responded, “I’m with somebody now.” Stern then asked if he was in love. Puth stated, “Yeah, definitely.”
From there, Stern joked that Puth’s upcoming album would be his best ever if she breaks up with him. He responded, “I don’t think she will.” Elsewhere in the clip, Puth said she was the one and also revealed that she was someone he grew up with when asked if his then mystery woman was famous or not.
Clearly, things continued to go well between Puth and Sansone because he announced in September 2023 that they were engaged.
He posted on Instagram, “I flew to New York to ask my best friend to marry me, and she said yes. I am the happiest, best version of myself, and it is all because of you, Brookie. I love you endlessly forever and ever and ever.”
According to PEOPLE, the two lovebirds then tied the knot on September 7, 2024, at his family’s home in Montecito, California.
His New Album Comes Out in 2025
In additon to the exciting personal news, Puth has a brand new album coming out. Titled “Whatever’s Clever!,” he’s set to release it on March 6. Of course, “Changes” is the lead single from the new album.
He first announced the lead single on October 8. Puth wrote in an Instagram caption, “Changes out 10.16. This is the song I wanted you to hear first because it’s a perfect way to bring all of you into the most beautiful, colorful part of my life, which happens to be right now. You will soon know why…”
“Whatever’s Clever!” will be Puth’s first album since 2018’s “Voicenotes.”
