Billie Eilish‘s big brother and collaborator, Finneas, has gotten engaged to his longtime girlfriend, YouTube creator and actor Claudia Sulewski. The musician and his bride-to-be both posted the announcement on Instagram, sharing a collection of photos along with a caption that held a sweet sentiment, along with the date they presumably got engaged, saying: “forever and ever 9.22”
In the photos, the pair can be seen embracing in front of a stunning landscape and kissing with a gorgeous sky in the background. There’s also a video of the moment Finneas got down on one knee and popped the big question.
Beyond that, there’s a clip of a helicopter ride that the pair seemingly took on the special day, and a shot of the rather large and lovely engagement ring. Finally, there’s a picture of the pair smiling at the camera while Claudia shows off her ring, and a video of the couple sitting in front of a fireplace, before a final kissing pic.
Finneas Wrote a Song About Claudia Right After They Met
Finneas — who met Claudia in 2018 via a dating app — has found inspiration thanks to his relationship with his lady love. In fact, he told BuzzFeed Celeb in July 2019 that he wrote a song about Claudia right after they met. Like, mere hours after they first met.
In the song, which was named after Claudia, Finneas wrote: “I think you’re gonna change my plans / With those emerald eyes / But you don’t even understand / How much they’re on my mind.”
Finneas Sent a Sweet Message to Claudia On Their Anniversary
Back on September 22, 2022, Finneas also used Instagram to send a special note to Claudia in order to mark the occasion, which happened to be their anniversary.
“You’d have to scour the globe to try to find someone equally as talented, creative and hard working as you are, my love,” he wrote in the caption.
“Then you’d have to do it a second time to try to find someone as kind, thoughtful and generous,” he continued as he praised his then-girlfriend. “A third time to find someone as funny, a fourth to find someone as loving, a fifth to find someone as beautiful.”
He ended his message with: “How you manage to be every one of these things all at once, will forever be the impossibility of you. Happy anniversary, Baby, I love the hell out of you.”
