The following month, she and her partner, Chanan Safir Colman, who is also the father of her child, broke up. Many things have taken their toll on her, and the “Bang Bang” singer wanted to let fans know she would be stepping away from the spotlight for a bit.

But the “Price Tag” singer made another farewell post for her fans, this time with a more detailed explanation of why she wanted to take a break from social media, while also reassuring them she was going to be alright. “I want to start this post off by saying I am ok,” she wrote on Instagram. “I am not at my best but very far from my worst, I know people can twist these kinds of posts.”

She continued, “It’s no secret that the last 2 years have been magical, successful, life-changing, and extremely busy. I have loved the last 2 years mostly, hated it in moments and learnt the most I have ever learnt about myself and what I want from my life and mostly what I want it to FEEL like.”
