Justin Trudeau’s oldest child, son Xavier Trudeau, spoke out about his father’s girlfriend Katy Perry in an interview to promote his own music. Xavier’s words come as Perry and Justin’s romance continues to heat up.
Xavier Trudeau Shares Sweet Remarks About Katy Perry
The other day, Xavier, an influencer and aspiring rapper, appeared on G Hobs’s car interview. G Hobs is a content creator who didn’t shy away from asking Xavier what fans really wanted to know about, Perry.
G Hobs wanted to know if Xavier had met the “American Idol” alum. Xavier had met Perry and had nice things to say about her.
“Yes, I have. Yep. She’s cool. She’s nice,” Xavier replied.
G Hobs asked whether Xavier had spoken to his dad’s girlfriend about music or gotten advice from her about the industry.
“Yeah, yeah, yeah. We talked for like hours just about, like my music, advice, and these next steps for me,” he expressed.
The topic of Perry going into Space was also brought up, but that was something Xavier had never talked with Perry about, nor did he know it was a thing she did.
Xavier is Trudeau’s only son. The former Canadian Prime Minister is also dad to Ella-Grace and Hadrien, with his estranged wife, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau.
Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau’s Relationship Timeline
The singer and politician were first linked together last summer after meeting at an undisclosed event. Perry and Trudeau’s romance made headlines not just because they were dating but also because it wasn’t that long after she announced her split from Orlando Bloom.
Trudeau was even spotted at one Perry’s concerts, adding more fuel to the fire that they were dating. After months of back and forth with various reports on the romance, Perry confirmed she wasn’t single at a concert in October when a fan proposed to her.
“You heard I’m single? That’s interesting… You know, you really should have asked me about 48 hours ago,” she can be heard saying to the person in a TikTok video from the concert.
A couple of weeks later, Trudeau and Perry went public with their relationship to celebrate her 41st birthday. In December, the couple traveled to Japan together, and Trudeau posted about it on X.
Perry used Instagram to highlight moments from their trip, including the couple posing for selfies, taking in the sights, and enjoying authentic food.
Trudeau and Perry are still going strong but rarely speak about the relationship and only slyly showcase it on social media.
