Kelly Osbourne stood up for her late father Ozzy Osbourne’s legacy following recent remarks made by ’80s rocker Dee Snider.
After comments surfaced questioning Ozzy’s contributions to the music industry and his influence as a songwriter, Kelly didn’t hesitate to address the claims. She made sure her dad’s legendary career remains clearly understood and respected.
Kelly Osbourne Stood Up For Ozzy
GettyKelly Osbourne took to her Instagram story, per Page Six, to defend her father against commentary made by former Twisted Sister front man Dee Snider on social media.
Snider responded to a post on the platform X. It read, “Bob Daisley says he’d written a load of lyrics. Then was told they weren’t needed for ‘No More Tears.’ Then he got sacked for the final time.”
Snider penned, “A load? How about ALL the lyrics? Ozzy always had bass players write his lyrics.”
He continued, “Geezer Butler wrote ALL of Black Sabbath’s lyrics. Daisley wrote lyrics for the first two solo albums (I’m pretty sure he was paid to write on other records but not credited) & Lemmy wrote lyrics.”
Osbourne wasted no time posting her response to Snider’s comments on her Instagram story, which Page Six screenshotted and reposted. She said, “My father’s legacy as a musician, songwriter, singer and bandleader speaks for itself.”
She continued, “His friends, those who who worked with him, those who love him, and millions of fans around the world that still continue to buy his records know exactly what he meant what he contributed and what he leaves behind. His legacy will live on eternally.”
Kelly Osbourne Wasn’t Done Setting the Record Straight

She tagged the post with, “Dee Snider, your last hit, not to age myself, was the year I was born over 40 years ago.”
Osbourne was upset that Snider appeared to “diminish” Ozzy’s contributions to the music industry, including his “extraordinary abilities and achievements when he is no longer here to challenge his allegations.”
She then claimed, “Snider had a brief period of mainstream success more than 40 years ago. My father’s career spanned nearly six decades. From helping define heavy metal with Black Sabbath to building an extraordinary solo career. His music will continue influencing generations long after all of us are gone.”
Dee Snider Responded to Kelly Osbourne’s Claims
GettyDee Snider took to X to respond to Kelly Osbourne’s claims against him. He said that he bore no ill will against the former Black Sabbath frontman.
He wrote, “And again. To be clear, I HAVE NOTHING BUT LOVE FOR OZZY.”
Snider continued, “He was always lovely to me. Black Sabbath changed my life! As a songwriter I can be a little touchy about credit and royalties.”
He added in a separate post, “If you only knew how much money I’ve made from that ‘one hit’ because I got my songwriting credit and my royalties.”
