SEE: Michael Jackson’s Nanny Shares Rare Throwback Photos With the King of Pop’s Children

Michael Jackson‘s nanny, Grace Waramba, shared a sweet set of intimate family photos to celebrate the 28th birthday of Michael’s daughter, Paris. Waramba, whose Instagram bio reveals she spent 17 years with the family, started the Instagram Carousel with a shot in which she’s cradling a newborn Paris. In the next shot, she smiles next to the children’s mother, Debbie Rowe. Another snap shows Waramba riding a train past the Eiffel Tower as one of the children nap.

Grace Waramba Reflects on Michael Jackson’s Reaction to Paris Jackson’s Birth: ‘Over the Moon’

Recalling the day Michael’s second child, Paris, was born, Waramba wrote:

“One this day, in the early hours of April 3, 1998, Michael walked into the waiting room where Prince and I had fallen asleep and gently placed a beautiful baby girl in my arms. I fell in love with Paris eight months earlier, when Debbie told me she was expecting.

Michael was over the moon with joy! Weeks before, at the Hotel Imperial in Vienna, we hosted a trunk show and picked out outfits including infant sizes all the way to age eight. ‘She’s going to grow fast,’ he kept telling me. He was right. Here we are 28 years later.

While waiting for baby Paris, one of the nurses started singing ‘Run-Around’ by Blues Traveler. When I joined in, Michael startled Prince awake with a burst of laughter. He always got a kick out of our mutual love for rock music.

My favorite memory is quieter — watching Michael brush and braid Paris’ hair while softly singing a song he was still writing. That image has never left me.

Waramba finished her message with a birthday wish for Paris. She told the songstress, “Your confidence and poise inspire me to rise above my many fears. Happy Birthday, Yab-yab! I love you.”

She revealed the photos were taken by Los Angeles-based photographer Hamid Moslehi, who worked as Michael’s personal photographer from 1996 to 2003, according to his Instagram.

Paris Jackson Recently Gave her Father a Rare Social Media Shoutout

In a March 19 Instagram video that showed Paris awkwardly attempting numerous takes of a promo for her new song, “Zombies In Love,” the indie folk singer paused to ask asked her cameraman, “Can you imagine my dad doing this?” She then added, “Have you seen that video where he’s like ‘I love to tour’?” referencing the “Black or White” singer’s hilarious 1995 interview moment that sent the crew giggling.
