Miley Cyrus’ 2 Concerts Draw a Staggering 1.5 Million Fans

Miley Cyrus’s upcoming concerts are proving just how much demand there is for her return to the stage. According to The Hollywood Reporter, over a million fans joined the presale queue for her upcoming pair of shows at the Hollywood Bowl.

Miley Cyrus’s concerts at the Hollywood Bowl, a venue that seats 18,000 people, will be limited to just two shows. That suggests about 1.5 million fans were competing for a total of 36,000 tickets across both nights. According to a Just Jared report, the demand was so overwhelming that Miley could sell out the venue more than 80 times over if every fan were able to get in.

The Concerts Are a Rare Treat

It is not shocking that there was so much demand for tickets to Miley Cyrus’s concerts; after all, they mark a rare return to the stage after years away. The talented singer has not been on a full tour since her 2014 Bangerz Tour, aside from a brief run of festival dates between 2021 and 2022.

The upcoming shows, titled “Miley: Bass Persuades — Live at the Hollywood Bowl,” are scheduled for Friday, October 16, and Sunday, October 18. The concerts will also be Cyrus’s first-ever performances at the iconic venue, even though she has a long personal connection to it.

“It’s been a while. The Hollywood Bowl is my favorite place to experience music and see my favorite artists,” she revealed on Instagram. “I’ve sat in those seats many times, but I’ve never taken the stage. LA is my heart, and I’m bringing it home.”

Talk of Miley Cyrus performing two shows at the Hollywood Bowl comes after she released the title track from “Bass Persuades,” her 10th studio album and the first she has made under Atlantic Records following her time with Sony Music’s Columbia Records.

The album is set to be released on September 18 and is already attracting early buzz with its title track, which was released on September 3. The song emerged as the most-added track across U.S. radio in its first week and even debuted at No. 1 on Spotify’s Top Songs Debut Chart.

Miley has described the album as one close to her heart. People reported that while speaking to Daryl Hannah for Wonderland in an issue she guest-edited in July, she called it a “love story,” adding that it “feels especially meaningful because this feeling has stayed with me through multiple eras.”

Miley herself seems to be entering a new era and has been working on a simpler public identity to go with it, performing and releasing music under only her first name. Her father has expressed support for the decision, likening her choice to drop Cyrus to the single-name branding of other musical icons like Cher and Prince.

At this time, the two Hollywood Bowl dates are the only confirmed Miley Cyrus concerts. Whether the overwhelming traffic observed during the presale will translate into anything beyond the upcoming two nights remains to be seen. However, at least for now, the demand has confirmed that fans are eager to see Miley back on stage.
