The rumor mill is already pointing to Miley Cyrus as the frontrunner for the Super Bowl 2027 halftime show. Bad Bunny delivered a history-making performance in February. After this, netizens quickly included Cyrus’ name as a contender for next year.
When asked about the rumors directly in her Variety cover, Cyrus clarified her stance. She made it clear that the Super Bowl stage isn’t something you just stroll onto. “I always think the Super Bowl feels like too much pressure,” she admitted.
“I would have to do the mental work of making it not about the Super Bowl, because then you can’t help but go, ‘It’s millions of people, and it’s the most-watched thing in the world.'”
Miley Wouldn’t Mind A Hannah Montana Revival
GettyCyrus also hinted at a vision that would make the moment special. The “Flowers” singer referenced her recent anniversary concert celebrating two decades of “Hannah Montana.”
She added, “if I could find a way to make it exactly what the Hannahversary was — taking a journey through the discography and appreciating each song, each era for what it is — I think I could find it in myself.”
For those unfamiliar with the hit 2006 Disney show, Cyrus played the lead character, “Miley Stewart.” The show followed a teenager living a double life as a famous pop singer, while maintaining anonymity with a blonde wig.
Cyrus remained on the show until its conclusion in 2011.
Fans Want To See Miley Cyrus Carry Out On Stage Again

Back in 2021, she headlined the TikTok Tailgate before Super Bowl LV in Tampa, performing with rock legend Billy Idol for “Night Crawling.”
She also ran through her own hits and covers like “Jolene” and “Heart of Glass.”
Despite her chart dominance, Cyrus hasn’t actually hit the road for a full tour since her 2014 “Bangerz” era. “I actually miss and love live shows,” she revealed. “But me being on the road for six months out of the year and leaving my family and my normalcy and my routine is just not best for me.”
She Still Gets Anxiety Before A Show
