Selena Gomez Reveals a Dramatic Short Hair Transformation: PHOTOS

Selena Gomez is known for causing a delightful stir with her music and her acting, not to mention her romantic life. Now, the star has created a buzz among her fans for another reason. Gomez has shared photos of herself with short hair.

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, January 21, the “Only Murders in the Building” star popped up four photos of herself in what looks like a pretty pink bedroom. While you might notice her lovely nails and impressive engagement and wedding rings — along with what seems to be a Juju plushie from artist Cj Hendry — there’s also no missing her dramatically different hair.

Instead of the long locks that fans are used to seeing on Gomez lately, she’s slaying a short bob. Still boasting enviable waves, she also appears to have bangs in three pics and goes without fringe in one shot.

While it’s unclear whether Gomez actually cut her hair or just has it pinned up, the look definitely sparked a fair share of reactions from her adoring fans.

Fans Love Selena’s Short Hair

“GIRRLLL YOU’RE STUNNING🥵🫦💞,” one person wrote.

Another person added, “I love you, bob haircut queen😍”

“Oh my gosh side 1 is so hottttt ❤️❤️,” a third person wrote.

Someone else commented, “the most beautiful EVER!! you are SO loved🥹❤️”

Gomez’s hair has been a topic of conversation for years now. Back in May 2016, the star opened up to Vogue about her enviable mane as she prepared to head out on her “Revival” tour.

“Marissa [Marino], my hairstylist, is coming on the road with me,” Gomez said. “We wanted to create a unique touch for each look in the show—you see glimpses of the different sides of who I am. It’s exciting.”

“We’re going to do a lot with the hair,” she added. “I love being able to let it flow and be wavy because that’s my go-to look, but we’re going to try some fun things—incorporating braids and updos. I like to be adventurous. I’ll see along the way what inspires us, if we want to add some cool materials thrown in the hair with a braid. We’ll see.”
