In a new Instagram post, it was announced that Tina Turner’s “Break Every Rule” is being reissued for its 40th anniversary.
The post read, “Some records never lose their power. ‘Break Every Rule’ returns on special edition red vinyl.”
The caption continues, “A striking new pressing of Tina Turner’s 1986 album, featuring classics including ‘Typical Male,’ ‘Two People’ and ‘What You Get Is What You See.'”
Coupled with the announcement was a series of images of the legendary singer, wearing one of her signature red leather min-dresses. She showed off her toned legs, which were famously insured for $1M according to The New York Times.
Released on September 8, 1986, “Break Every Rule” was Turner’s sixth solo studio album and the highly anticipated follow-up to her massive 1984 comeback record, Private Dancer. She proved that her return to the top of the charts was no fluke.
The LP solidified her reign as the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll. It became a multi-platinum success worldwide, with sales of almost 3M copies.
