Turkish singer Gül Tut, best known by her stage name Güllü, has tragically died at 51 after falling from the balcony of her sixth-floor home in Çınarcık, Yalova. Her son, Tuberk Yaz, confirmed the heartbreaking news on social media just hours later, while also dispelling unfounded rumors about the circumstances of her death.

“I am posting this message to share sad news,” he wrote on Instagram, as reported by Mirror. “The suicide reports circulating on social media are unfounded. I will share developments regarding the funeral here. May she rest in peace.”

Local reports said the beloved singer had been on the balcony around 3 a.m. with her daughter and a family friend when she suddenly felt unwell and fell. She was pronounced dead at the scene.


Official Statements on the Incident

As per Mirror, the Yalova Governor’s Office released a statement confirming that officials responded to an emergency call reporting a “fall from height” in the Harmanlar Neighborhood on Vali Ak Street.

“When officials arrived at the address, it was understood that the artist known as ‘Güllü,’ Gül Tut, fell from the window while having fun with her daughter and her daughter’s friend, and the health team’s examination revealed that she had passed away,” the statement read.

The Çınarcık District Police Department has launched an investigation into the incident under the direction of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
