Love is in the air for Madison Marilla and Tyler White, who just took a major step forward in their relationship.
The fan-favorite couple from “Love on the Spectrum” got engaged during season 4 in a deeply emotional moment that played out on screen.
Their proposal took place at Sunken Gardens in Tampa, Florida—the very spot where their love story began one year earlier.
The Moment Was Caught on Camera
In episode six of the newly released season, which dropped April 1, Tyler planned a surprise anniversary celebration for Madison.
Keeping the details under wraps, he only revealed the location ahead of time.
When Madison arrived, she was greeted with a festive “Christmas in July” setup, complete with decorations and thoughtful touches.
The celebration quickly turned meaningful. After exchanging anniversary gifts, Tyler directed Madison to a decorated mailbox filled with letters to Santa.
Inside, she found a heartfelt note written by Tyler.
“I knew in my heart when I met you, that I found someone special, unique and precious,” he wrote. “From the moment I met you, I knew I had met my person and I don’t want to wait another moment to let the world know just how I feel.”
As Madison read the letter aloud, she became emotional—and Tyler followed suit. Moments later, he got down on one knee and proposed.
“I can’t believe it,” Madison said through tears, later calling it “the easiest yes.”
The Couple Dished About the Proposal
The couple first met during season 3 of the Netflix series on a blind date, and their relationship has steadily grown since.
Reflecting on the proposal, Madison shared that she had a feeling it was coming.
“It was our anniversary and I felt like the puzzle was coming together,” she said while speaking with PEOPLE.
For Tyler, the proposal was just as emotional as it appeared on screen.
“Very emotional,” he said. “Once she started tearing up reading that letter, I started crying… I’m getting emotional just thinking about it right now.”
Since their relationship began, Madison has made a big move—relocating to Florida to be closer to Tyler.
The couple now lives just a few miles apart and spends most days together.
Their routine includes attending church weekly, going on regular dates, and sharing hobbies like visiting Busch Gardens.
Through it all, they’ve built a relationship rooted in consistency, faith, and mutual growth.
Madison also shared how Tyler has positively influenced her life, helping her grow emotionally and explore new interests.
As their journey continues beyond the show, their engagement marks a joyful milestone—one that fans have watched unfold from the very beginning.
