Devon Werkheiser is celebrating a major milestone — both personally and professionally.
The former Nickelodeon star revealed he is engaged to girlfriend Chelsea Blue, sharing the happy news with fans in an Instagram post on Sunday, March 8.
The announcement also happened to coincide with Werkheiser’s 35th birthday, making the moment even more meaningful.
The Sweet Announcement
Werkheiser shared the update alongside a carousel of photos capturing the couple during what appeared to be a romantic desert getaway.
One of the images gave fans a close look at the engagement ring, while others showed the pair enjoying time together outdoors.
“35 • and my life begins, again • she said yes. I am so thankful for this life and all the fans and friends who support me along the way. Life has a way of working out. Stay open. Stay loving,” he wrote in the caption.
The post was set to the song “My Fun” by Suki Waterhouse, adding to the celebratory tone of the moment.
Werkheiser later followed up in the comment section with a simple message of gratitude.
“Best birthday yet. Thanks everyone,” he added.
Congrats Pour In
Fans and friends quickly flooded the post with congratulations, including several familiar faces from the actor’s career.
His former co-star from Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide, Lindsey Shaw, shared her excitement for the newly engaged couple.
“HAPPIEST BIRTHDAY, BROTHER! You done good. congratulations!!! It’s so beautiful to see you take this step wholeheartedly with such a gem. Can’t wait to hug you both in person. a love you,” she wrote.

The Couple Is Private
While the actor has spent years in the public eye, the couple has largely kept their relationship private.
Blue occasionally shares glimpses of their life together on social media but generally stays out of the spotlight.
According to her social media profiles, Blue works as a mental health therapist and stylist.
She has also occasionally shared behind-the-scenes moments from Werkheiser’s projects.
In August 2025, Blue posted a playful video showing herself adding clip-in hair extensions to the actor’s hair while testing a look for one of his upcoming roles.
The sped-up clip showed the transformation process and was captioned, “should he grow it out for real.”
Werkheiser rose to fame in the mid-2000s as the lead of “Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide,” which became a fan favorite during its run on Nickelodeon.
