AJ McLean’s estranged wife, Rochelle DeAnna McLean, suffered a serious health scare that sent her to the hospital.
In an Instagram post on Friday, Jan. 24, she shared a photo of herself in a hospital bed giving a thumbs up. And with that, she detailed what happened in the caption.
“It’s been one hell of week over here,” Rochelle wrote. “I came to the ER Tuesday morning with an extremely bloated belly and pain on my right side of my abdomen. Thinking it was my appendix, I came to the emergency room to be sure. I ended up showing cecal volvulus in my ct scan. A twisted pinched colon.
“I basically went straight into surgery after that to have the compromised part of my colon removed and the healthy sections sewn back together again,” she continued. “Truly something I’d never even heard of happening. All I can say is listen to your body when something doesn’t feel right. Had this gone on longer and untreated, the outcome could have been very different. Hoping I get to go home this evening!
“Take care of yourselves out there 🤍 And also… A big thank you to the surgeons, drs and nurses who have taken such great care of me this week! My hero’s 🤩🤍✨,” Rochelle concluded.
