When Alec Baldwin isn’t on set playing a fictional character in a new movie or TV show, he might be at home playing another role: Dad.
Father to daughter Ireland, whom he shares with his ex, Kim Basinger, Alec is also the father of seven children that he shares with his wife, Hilaria — three daughters, Carmen Gabriela, María Lucía Victoria and Ilaria Catalina Irena, as well as four sons, Rafael Thomas, Leonardo Ángel Charles, Romeo Alejandro David and Eduardo Pao Lucas.
On Sunday, February 22, Ireland took to Instagram to share a photo of her dad that she appears to have snapped during a FaceTime chat. Showing the star wearing a glittering tiara, he also has pink eyeshadow on and a little hand — which likely belongs to one of his younger kids — can be seen putting on his mascara.
In the caption of Ireland’s post, she wrote, “a pretty, pretty princess!!!!! @alecbaldwininsta”

Alec Baldwin Has Opened Up About Being an Older Parent
On an April 2025 episode of “The Baldwins,” Alec “shared that after having his daughter, Ireland … when he was 38, the comedian feels like his parenting style has changed since he’s welcomed his seven younger kids, the first of whom he welcomed at 56,” according to People.
Alec, who is now 67, opened up about how his parenting style is different from that of Hilaria, who is 42.
Noting that “things have changed so much,” per People, he explained, “Everything has changed, I think when you’re her age and you have kids, and you get older, you get tougher. And for me, as I’m getting older and older, and I don’t want to be tougher. I don’t want to be anything. I just want to be a father to my kids.”
“I want to just watch and see what the years I have left us to experience and not have it be about me,” he said. While pointing out that time moves quickly, he added, “These kids are gonna turn around and they’re gonna be ready to go to college, and I’m gonna be old, older. I’m gonna be old 15 years from now, 14 years now, I’ll be 80. I try not to think about that. What I need is more time with my kids, you know?”
