Angie Harmon has shared the loss of a family member with her fans, opening up about the death of their family pet. The actress, beloved for her roles in “Baywatch Nights,” “Law & Order,” and “Rizzoli & Isles,” shared the sad news in an Instagram post on February 4.
Mourning the Loss of a Beloved Pet
Harmon posted several photos on Instagram of her family, including her three daughters, Finley, Avery, and Emery, and the moments they shared with their dog, Daisy. She was so cute, and the pictures suggest she was incredibly loving, too. In the caption, Harmon shared her thoughts. “Our precious Daisy crossed the rainbow bridge & we are heartbroken… but we know Ollie was there to greet her,” she wrote. “The littlest feet make the biggest footprints on our hearts.”
Fans have rallied around the actress, sharing their own heartache after losing a pet and commenting on how animals become such an important part of the family. “My heart goes out to you. Losing a beloved dog is never easy,” a fan shared. “Sending so much love your way. Dogs leave paw prints on our hearts forever .”
“Aww sweet Daisy. I’m so sorry for your loss Angie, Daisy will be missed but you are right Ollie will be there waiting at the rainbow bridge & they will both be watching over you all,” another fan shared.
Other reactions include, “Oh Angie. I’m so sorry! Sending you guys all the hugs and loves,” “Oh no Angie I’m so sorry for your loss. She was with you for a long time and I know how much she will be missed,” and “Our four legged family members are the best reflection of us all.”
Angie Harmon Is a Proud Dog Mom
Harmon is a proud dog mom, and she suffered a devastating loss when her dog Oliver was shot and killed by an Instacart delivery driver in March 2024. This is the same dog she mentioned in her tribute to Daisy. In April 2025, the actress spoke to People about the intense emotions she felt after Oliver’s death.
“I just couldn’t breathe. I couldn’t get up, I couldn’t do anything, and I couldn’t help him as much as I kept trying, I kept failing,” she said on the day of Oliver’s death. “When I went in there, they were doing CPR on him, and they did that for 7 to 13 minutes. And then everything just got really still. There I was watching him covered in his blood.”
Harmon’s heart began to heal after her daughters decided to give her a new pet. She received a sweet dog named Lucy for Mother’s Day in May 2024. “Lucy changed my life. She saved me,” Harmon told People. “She saved me from a really dark period in my life, and I love her so much.”
